My concern is on non-drop ceiling installation, where you don't have access and can't use the back plate. The anchor and cable holes are so close, I'm afraid the sheetrock is to fragile to resist the anchor extension close to the cable hole...

The RJ45 coupler seems redundant. I am probably missing an important detail. Besides the obvious of extending it.

It helps keep the camera body small as no RJ45 port is needed on the camera itself, and therefore no space is required for the cable to plug in
