Great Video! I was once a semi-experienced tiler for a remodeling company but the times and material technology has changed quite a bit. That said, I'm in the planning stages of installing a heated floor. I was originally looking at Ditra Heat until I found your video and looked at the Laticrete options - I think I'm now leaning towards Laticrete! Ditra does not offer a 240 volt wire for a small area (20sf) but Laticrete does. I don't want to use a 120 volt system. Thanks. This will help get me through the learning curve.

How come you’re not using a loud mouth device to see if anything happens to the wire while setting it into the mat and while tiling on it? It gives you so much more peace of mind while installing.

You did an Amazing job on this install and great step by step instructions. In a very hot work area. Any idea the life span of the heat cable? Hopefully at least 10 years. Thanks!!!

Thank you James! I’m not sure on the life expectancy of the cable I will ask some friends over at Laticrete and let you know

STRATA_HEAT components are covered by the LATICRETE Lifetime System Warranty. If only the wire was used, then it has a one-year product warranty only.

Would it be alright to take the cable into a walk-in shower, no curb? Thanks

What did you have for subfloor below the thin set? I have 3/4" plywood wood plus self lever, would that be enough subfloor in addition to the uncoupling matt for tile?
@ThatTileChick Жыл бұрын
Exterior glue plywood that was floated out with NXT SKIM LITE which is a patching compound that you can use over wood to fill any low spots prior to tile.

Good morning young lady thank you for such a wonderful video but I have a question I have never in my life sit any type of tile or did a bathroom remodel, I replaced light towel racks and painted the bathroom but never from the frame to the finished product. I was wondering is there a class you can do for beginners because I watch one of your videos and you were working on the studio now that you have your studio how much would you charge to educate an individual on how to set up A shower area and a wall area where you’re wanting to put Tile because to be quite honest this is not easy it’s probably easy for you you have all the experience in this I have none whatsoever so I was wondering can you let me know what a one day class would cost and maybe two day class I think after two days I should be able to handle it I learned pretty good and I work with my hands quite a bit for example I can work on the car almost with my eyes clothes and tell you what’s wrong with it 95% of the time I get it right that’s what my eyes were closed but if they’re open I can figure it out and fix it yes I am certified also many years. Well once again thank you so very much God bless you and your family and friends and all the viewers that follow your channel I really look forward to hearing from you thank you and I’ll be waiting for your response. ✝️✝️✝️🇺🇸
