How to Install Jeep Hood Decals | Vinyl lettering

In this video we show how to install a Jeep Rubicon decal to the sides of the hood.

To help install the decals purchase Rapid Tac or make your own
4 drops of dish soap (make sure it does not have any type of lotion)
1/2 cup isopropal alcohol
3 1/2 cups of water

I'm watching several of these videos before I change the RUBICON hood lettering on ours tomorrow. I guess misting is one way to apply new decals, although I do not agree with creating a fake Rubicon out of a Sahara. We have owned both models.

I may have misunderstood a comment you made to someone else who questioned whether your Jeep is actually a Rubicon from the factory or something else that's disguised as one with Rubicon decals on the hood.

For some reason after publishing this video people question whether my jeep is really a Rubicon based solely on outside parts. My jeep used to have the white lettering Rubicon on the hood and the previous owner removed it. Not sure why but i decided to go back with something cooler. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Great video. It's been a year and a half... how's your decal holding up? I'm worried about doing this because of high pressure car washes, weather, and that sort of thing.

You guys are kidding right? That has to be the longest version of an install I’ve ever seen. And an hour?! I can install the rubicon decal in about 2 minutes flat and drive away. Dry with no water or whatever your recipe was.

+Jaime Esquivel it's called "window film application solution" by Gila. I had this left over from when I put window film on a glass door. This came with the window film and I don't think it is sold separately. This is why I put a recipe in the video.

I am not sure why a "how to" video for putting a sticker on your Jeep hood has turned into defending my Jeep wrangler Rubicon but here is what you can find on the jeep wrangler wiki page about 2010 Rubicon's. The Rubicon package is the dedicated "Offroad" package. Standard components of the Rubicon package include front and rear next generation Dana 44 axles with electric lockers, Rock-Trac four-wheel drive with 4:1 transfer case, rock rails, 32-spline rear axle with an 8.8-inch ring gear, 4.10 axle gearing, electric releasing sway bar, "Yes Essentials" seats (2007-08), 7-speaker infinity sound system, and any other available option can be added. Linked here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Wrangler Notice it says nothing about the fender flares which I believe the painted are standard on the Sahara. It also says nothing about the bumpers. If you do a quick search on the web you will see those wheels I have are the same wheels on other Rubicons not that it matters. But it does say one key thing at the bottom. "and any other available option can be added" They should also mention can be removed because I know for the right price my dealership will put anything I want on a jeep wrangler to get it sold. So to answer your last question "what are you doing". I am putting the Rubicon stickers on my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon hood because the previous owner removed them and on my hood before I put these stickers back you could see the sun faded outline of the previous Rubicon stickers. I guess some people don't like the stickers and think they are tacky. I like them so I put back better ones.

I think its just looks cool with the rubicon letters. who cares if its a rubicon a sahara or the X model ! man !! good video !!

etsy online is where I just ordered mine from. I was able to get Rubicon letters, Wrangler Unlimited and a trail rated badge all from them. Looks great too. If you are switching up the looks of your Jeep, I recommend giving them a look. Very reasonably priced as well.
