Hi raghav, i have recently installed jenkins on EC2 MAC instance. i'm able to access jenkins from the MAC instance on port 8080 but i'm unable to do the same from any other machine by giving the public IP of MAC followed by 8080. I have tried to enable 8080 in the AWS security group as well. still no luck. can u suggest any approaches to resolve this?

Hi Srinidi, usually this is due to Security Groups and port accessibility. In case your AWS instance is managed by a team, you can get in touch with them or else if its your own ec2 can check your security groups and try to enable all traffice (not recommended) but just to check if that is the reason

Until here it's ok but I can't clone a repository to specific folder or execute shell scripts, because the permission. I edit /etc/sudoers and added the line: jenkins ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL in but I haven't success. I my ubuntu system I managed to execute successfully, but in my ec2 instance not.

So how can I keep the EC2 up and running without stoping them. If I do so all my data is lost. If I want to operate the old jenkins I have installed how to do it. In AWS ec stands for elastic compute, ec2-user the the standard user

If u get NOKEY warning during yum install then run this command "sudo rpm --import pkg.jenkins.io/redhat/jenkins.io.key" and then run sudo yum install Jenkins
