Thanks for posting! Can you recommend any resources or perhaps post a video on how to convert to a bariatric wheelchair accessible van/mini bus? As far as eear load or side load, whichever one is easier. Rear load, I’m a little more familiar with. And can you recommend some particular makes and models of vehicles that are ideal for this?

What do you use to mount the FVC slide tray to the L track ?
@ln2440 Жыл бұрын
would you tell what primer you use? Thanks

What type of primer is used over metal? Thank you!

I’d like to know too but I bet he’s using a urethane primer used for prepping a surface for a glass install. That’s exactly what the can looks like. 3M has one called Single Step Primer with the same type of dauber applicator.

What length 1/4-20 bolts do you use? Getting all my parts together for this project. Also, since you asked I'm using adjustable L-track mounting plates from RB components with Rocky Mounts fork mounts. The mounting plates are great because if I need to carry drop bar bikes instead I can flip them around to make more clearance between the back doors and bars.

I use 2.5” bolts.

Rocky Mounts Drop Top locking though axle mount. The easiest/best/quickest mount and another layer of protection.

Does anyone know what he means when he says "you're gonna need a little bit more hardware" if doing this for motorcycles (at 2:47)? More than 5 bolts per l track piece? Five already seems like plenty to me . . . but maybe he means something else?
@ryankim36125 ай бұрын
Brotha, I’d add plate steel to the underside, and even form plate steel “straps’ to contour over frame structures if needed. The weight of the motorcycles needs to be captured and locked in for the worst case scenario: a front end collision. If you just bolt the L-track through the floor skin, it WILL pull through and just after the crash occurs in front of you, you will get hit from behind -by all that moto steel.

What blade do you use to cut the L track?
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
100 tooth finish blade on the chop saw.

Do you know if the L-Track has standard ano or hard ano coating? Mine will be walked on and loaded on so curious if standard holds up.
@AVCRIG2 жыл бұрын
It’s a 2 stage ano coating, but not “hard ano” as you asked. We’re just starting to use it and curious ourselves. I have inquired about the harder process so we can compare pricing.

Some Polypropylene foam would be a nice material to used under the L track

Are you just using stainless steel bolts and washers? What grade? Just worried they will rust over time.
@lewicypher19126 ай бұрын
I agree,just saw this vid, looks as if they'll rust, and no undercoating either.....

Would like to buy this predrilled L track for my 148. Plain silver is fine no need for black. Any idea if it will be for sale soon? Ordering other items from avcrig and figured I'd order it at the same time if possible.

We should have it available on the website pretty soon.
