How to Install Linux Ubuntu on your Laptop (Asus)

Download a Linux ISO file, I used Linux Ubuntu which you can download from here - ubuntu.com/dow... (The reason I downloaded Ubuntu was because I will try to install Kali-Linux next. Seems to me it didn't want to take with Linux Mint that we had prior)
If you want any other type of Linux, the process is the same (download IOS and put it on USB) and you can download many types here - www.linux.org/...
Next you need to download Rufus here - rufus.ie/en_US/ (Of course Rufus is not the only program you can use to put the ISO on USB)

Now it is installed but nothing works. My keyboard is flashing randomly I can't change it, I have no control over the fan behavior, no control about the maximum battery charge level ... no control for anything. I can't even switch between intelHD and nvidia graphics.

You may need to install new drivers. Did you check to see if your device is compatible? Sometimes our hardware are not compatible with some Operating Systems. But like I said, you may only need to install new drivers.

@@anarchytechstuff4952 It's a 2021 'asus Nvidia rtx 3050 / intelhd graphics hybrid. and they should probably cause real problems. Most of the time after the restart after installing the driver, I had a black screen and no linux lasted longer than 20 minutes without graphic bugs and flickering, which make me think my graphics card is broken. The only way to get the thing to work is "asusctrl" and it only works on arch and fedora. There is also a manual for ubuntu distris but they simply deleted the xubuntu repo (asus-linux) and they hate ubuntu My graphics only work with ZorinOS, and unfortunately they want to sell freeware at high prices. that's exactly what I wanted to get away from. andi cant get my KDE on Zorin

@@Bergwacht Sometimes I find just trying to reinstall the OS a bunch of times works, TBH. I took my like 3 times before Kali was working on 2021 Asus Gaming Laptop and like a million times for AcademiX to work on this old Lenovo ThinkPad. I sometimes just reversed my install, meaning I would take Windows right out of the system, flash Linux, then flash Windows. Windows is usually easier to install, but erasing the system and starting fresh from Linux at first sometimes help. It's trial and error. Thx for the replies!

I have a X555DA, any thoughts on how to get ubuntu working? I tried installing a few different distros but cannot get them to boot, iv tried changing secure boot settings and CSM settings with no luck.
