Thanks! It's neither, technically! This is the Matomo for WordPress option. It's done via their WordPress plugin and installs it as part of the WordPress database.

There are costs if you need to purchase upgraded plugins for extra functionality - but if all you need is the basic stuff then it's free! I don't know about *always*... You'd need to ask them about that! :)

Does this track how long they stay on a page? What if i have an affiliate link on my page? Is there any way to track if they click the link or button? Like maybe a UTM parameter to add to the affiliate link?

1 - Pretty sure it does, yeah 2 - You can track outbound links, if that's what you mean :) 3 - Same is 2 - yes you can 4 - UTMs are useful for tracking links in to your website, but not outbound. Cheers!
