Why can I not turn my locking ring by hand to start it? Is my Holley tank made incorrectly or is the rubber seal too thick?

If you use this pump with the sniper efi, will you still need to run a return line to the tank or will this pump regulate it without the need for it?

Im facing the same issue right now. I will be going with a complete aeromotive stealth fuel tank system to remedy this. I didn't feel like drilling/welding and installing a bulkhead fitting for a return, or trust running the return up to the filler neck. I run a aeromotive stealth tank in another 67 mustang and it works flawless with holley HP efi.

Why does this not have a port for the return line built in? There are sending units with return ports, but not with a high pressure fuel pump. Is there an all-in-one unit available?

I believe this may be an all-in-one unit with the regulator built in. The white plastic disk is the regulator. If so, a return is not needed and the return port on the Sniper can be capped. The description is a bit better for GM models. Holley Corp has extremely poor documentation on many products and this is an example. Holley could sell more products with less hassle for customers if they simply included two or 3 more sentences in the description.

Is the stock fuel line to the tank capable of EFI pressure and HP over 400.

If it's a hard line, yes it should be! Any rubber or flex lines/hoses should be replaced with EFI rated hose. Thx J

Sniper instructions say to use at least 3/8". Stock mustang line is 5/16" in most cases I think. You can buy 3/8" prebent line for Mustangs. Also, I believe most have 3 pieces, so there are 2 rubber pieces that connect, be sure to install the proper hose for fuel injection pressure and preferably PTFE type stuff that won't permeate the fuel odor.

does it work with efi ho engines 86- 93 conversion from fox body?

I believe it may be regulated for 58 psi that Sniper systems use. Holley doesn't bother to list important specs unless it's for a Chevy.
