You can also delete all of those preset mods that come with nemesis so that way you don't have to figure out which to check, you can just check everything

nemesis output doesn't work when you choose to create files in the mod instead of overwrite. just leave it at default and let it go in the mo2 overwrite folder and it works

hey i followed the tutorial perfectly (and ive also used nemesis many times in the past) but for some reason im getting an error message when ever i try to launch nemesis after i update it. i get the error message saying "Checking engine version. Changes in file detected. Engine update is required to be performed" anyone know any fix? i updated it, uninstalled and reinstalled it and cant find a work around for it :(

This video helped - I didn't know about creating the Nemesis Output mod instead of letting it dump files into Overwrite. There is one thing I haven't been able to find; Where should Nemesis be in the load order? No one mentions this.

I eventually found the answer by searching through your comment section, but make sure that during the section of the video at around 1:18, you search for the name of the folder of your specific instance. I was confused for a while when I didn't see MO2 Instance but eventually realized that my folder was named something entirely different. To see what your instance is called, click File and then Manage Instances.

I did everything you said for vortex then tried downloading jh combat animations. I have all the right prerequisite mods, get no errors, but it just doesn't work. Thought it was just an issue with that mod, so I tried elder souls. That didn't work. Tried elden rim. That didn't work. I get no errors & all my other mods work just fine. It's just these animation mods that require nemesis don't do anything. What do I do?

I’ve had mine for awhile and will never update or launch and never has any of the animation mods I have like. Evg, skyclimb. Also skyclimb will work but makes me pull an invisible lever instead of climbing

I dont know if you mention this cause I skipped a few parts of the video, but just in ca When I double click the mods in the Nemesis tab and it sends me to their Nexus page, I noticed that the mod is from the normal Skyrim and not Special Edition So the mods still work or do I have to search the same mods in the Special Edition page? I try to search them but I cant find some of them, so i dont know if this is nessesary or just give up in trying to find them

You didn't show the paths for Vortex - just talked vaguely about them - the installation folder for Vortex is NOT the Skyrim Data folder, so there is no Nemesis Unlimited Behaviour Engine.exe in there.

What mods are you using, and when you run nemesis how many new animations are loaded once it's done? Maybe deleting the cache folder in nemesis and running it again after might help

All the mods loaded correctly and I tried reinstalling, deleting the whole Nemesis Output a million times, I even tried with an older version of nemesis, every single time, the same error. And btw, I had Windows defender turned off, just in case. It's really weird man, I tried asking for help on Reddit and some Discord Channels and I never had an answer lol

@@valen.barreiro are you using vortex or MO2? Maybe a clean reinstall will help. Like remove Skyrim and check to see if all the files besides the saves are gone before reinstalling it

@@user-lg5xu6id5j MO2, and also, already did that. Clean install of Skyrim, MO2, Nemesis and the animation mods I wanted to use, still the same. The only thing I didn't do was completely uninstalling ALL my mods (because there are like 600 or 800 mods in my SSD), but, since I used a lot of MO2 profiles for testing, that wasn't requiered.

whenever I try to add tools that I need to setup an executable for, I can't find the mods folder through the browser. If I click the path tab it says my mods originate from an App Data location, which I can't locate when adding executables. Basically FNIS, Nemesis, etc I cannot get into my tools tab. I downloaded Nemesis separately to my desktop and unzipped it into a folder. From there, I used this folder to target the executable inside MO2. I don't know if this will work but I'll edit my comment if it did. Ok, it gave me an error at first that it couldn't locate the mods, but then it let my update and apparenlty it implemented itself/overwrote into the nemesis file in the mods list. I guess it worked? No crashing when using the armor mods I needed Nemesis for. I'll take that win haha

I am using vortex and I have a couple issues I keep running into and I have no idea how to fix. When I run nemesis directly from the data folder, it detects the installed mods (most of them anyways) but it’s in a super tiny, unexpandable window and I keep getting this when I try to update the engine : “ERROR:unrecognized file detected in path it shouldn’t be located in File: behavior Templates/anim_object.text.vortex_backup” And I am unsure on what to do. Some one told me to delete All the backups, does that sound correct? On the other hand, if I launch nemesis through its application and (data>nemesis engine> nemesis engine) then I get a full box with the patches that can update but it does not detect the mods there. If anyone can provide some insight I’d greatly appreciate it.

i solved my error disabling precision patch for tk dodge RE ,loading tk dodge AFTER rpecision and re run nemesis.i saw is a common problem

No when you first setup MO2 you would've made a folder where all your mods would get stored. You get to name it yourself so won't be called mod directory. Mine is called MO2 instance for example

The behavior file name must be in this format ("Nemesis_.xml") and it must located in the same path as the hkx counterpart. I've installed and uninstalled FNIS (I know it's incompatible) and it doesn't work. I've disabled any/all creature mods that I have, and nothing works. I can't seem to find anything on google. Help?

HI there in your nemesis folder there will be a nemesis ini configuration file. Make sure the top line SkyrimDataDirectory= your file path for your Skyrim data folder. it might help

In the meta.ini file in the Nemesis folder the first line it's not "SkyrimDataDirectory" but it is [General], and the second one is "gameName=SkyrimSE". @@honinakecheta601 Yes, afaik, Nemesis can do everything FNIS did but better and then some. It’s a more up to date, more efficient program for generating animation outputs. So for the most part any mod that used to rely on FNIS can also be used with Nemesis to achieve the same thing. Now with Dynamic Animation Replacer, I’m anxious to see what modders can create with it outside of the standard FNIS/Nemesis path. Some of the creature animations coming out now for falmers, giants, etc are just a taste of what I imagine could be possible in the future.
