Well, thanks to your video I had openwrt running as a proxmox container, I logged in to the GUI but it ended there. No way to get it work as a router, I wanted to configure my proxmox main LAN interface as the openwrt's WAN port and my USB-LAN adapter interface as a DHCP LAN port, I scoured the web but in vain. It would be great if you could explain how to configure openwrt after a successful installation on proxmox. Thanks again.

Exactly what would be the difference or loss of functionality between using a Container (like your example) and using a virtual machine as recommended?

Wow.. I got it! Thank you very much. I suggest a follow up video would be an example usage of openwrt as a router and firewall for other proxmox VM/LC , also for other external device. I plan to explore the vlan, connectiing external device through a managed switch.

By default I believe it blocks everything lol or are you asking how to block the web interface? In that case use a VPN or connect to lan side using a VM

I get an error: call to uci/get failed with ubus code 9: Unspecified error I deleted the /etc/config/network file and restarted OpenWRT and it fixed itself, but I don't know if this automatic configuration is correct?

What you did was reset the file by having OpenWRT generate a new one. This automatic configuration usually sets up a basic network that might work for standard use cases, but whether it's correct for your needs depends on your specific network requirements.

It's the name of your storage node, in Proxmox 8.2 it should be just 'local' by default
