I've watched a lot of vids on installing on outdoor outlet, and your video is the most thorough, showing outside AND the inside work. In fact, out of the 20 videos I've watched, yours is the only that shows attaching the conduit, running through the siding, and into the junction box, and wiring a double outlet. Adding the switch to be able to turn the power on and off is genius!

Great video on outdoor install! I've noticed some homes don't even have any outdoor outlets so this video is a great share.

Thanks. Best I’ve seen on KZbin. I like the idea of the pvc conduit going into the house.

Very professional installation. Well done. I’d do it exactly the same except maybe add more silicone behind the outlet closer to the top?

I like the detail you go into on each step, but I have a couple questions. Are both the GFCI and the 20A duial outlet WR (weather resistant)? and also I see you put a plastic cover over the whole box, I have two dual outlets on my house(1 on the front porch and the 2nd on the back porch and they just put little flap covers over the outlets so you would pull them open and inset your plug and my house was built in 2003) so I am thinking in 2003 it was okay just to have this flimsy flap covers for the out, has there been changes to the electrical code that we must use these bubble covers now(I have no problem with it but my wife does not like how the plastic cover is so big. Keep up the great videos.

The GFCI and 20A are weather resistant. If you are going to plug something in long term (e.g. Christmas lights) and snow/water get high enough to get into your outlet the big covers are better. Otherwise, the small flaps are just fine.

The only issue I have is the box sticks out so much. I installed an outlet using an Arlington box. It’s a pvc box which is recessed. It only sticks out about 3/4” with cover. Extremely low profile.
