[HOW TO] Install Perry Parts Bumpstops on a 2015-2022 GMC Canyon/Chevy Colorado (Standard & ZR2)

PSA: If your bump stops are starting to degrade/break apart, contact Perry Parts for a free replacement. Their Gen1 style bump stops had a bad batch of material. The new Gen 2 bump stops utilize a new material supplier for a more robust bump stop.
In this video I am installing a set of Perry Parts 3D printed bumpstops on my 2019 GMC Canyon. These bumpstops replace the factory rubber bumpstops and provide better suspension support. 3D printed from a proprietary blend of TPU and TPE, these advanced bumpstops feature adaptive compression damping and variable density progressive architecture. These will provide protection from bottoming out, while still remaining soft during offroad activities. Perry Parts offers a 2 year no questions asked warranty.
Parts installed in this video are compatible with 2015-2022 Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon. (Confirmed fits ZR2 as well)

Right on brother. Thanks for your support as always. Yea the stock bumps were just hard rubber. They do tend to wear out in the elements over time. So these new ones are a good replacement upgrade.

Yea I knew a subscription was a good idea. Thats how i was an able to see this great video. I have a 2019 Colorado Crew Cab WT, 4x4, V6. That I have also installed Bilstein 5100’s, with the front set at next to the last slot from the top, with the rear stock with no blocks. That just about leveled the truck. Bringing the front edge of the front fender up exactly 2”. To say I’m very pleased with the 5100’s is an understatement! The enhancement is there, the speed bumps that used to bottom the front suspension out at 25 mph, is not happening till at least 40-45 mph, making them fun. Along with a local RR Crossing I catch air at with ease and control. So I’m very interested to see how these work out for you. I’m good in the rear, I’ve had 1,400 lbs of pavers in the rear and never bottom out at legal traffic speeds, even in rain channels. Plus towing my travel trailer at a Cat Scale certified 10,250 lbs. Just one item to think about. When you loosen up U bolts, they should be replaced with new hardware. Once again thanks.

Thanks for the review. Is it possible to replace the bolt on the front bump stops w/ a stainless one w/o damaging the bump stop material? Live in the rust belt and regular zinc coated hardware doesn't last very long....

That's a good thought. I think it should be possible just by backing out the bolt and reinstalling the stainless one. But send a message the Perry Parts, maybe they have some insight.

Handles harder impacts better I think. Probably would help your diesel with the added weight up front.
