How to install PyTorch on Windows 11

Notice - python 3.11 is yet to be supported by PyTorch. Install Python 3.10.9 instead.

I have been getting two types of errors in my torch check at the very end, trying to run this application that needs python/ and torch. The erros are syntax error invalid syntax or the newer one I got was indentation error: unexpected indent. It's not showing my graphics card at the very end could that ruin the entire process on opening a shart htttp app ?

So frustrating. I get an error every time I want to install Torch. It will start downloading and after it gets to 0.2-0.6 gig of the download, I get the following error. ERROR: Wheel 'torch' located at C:\Users\deanr\AppData\Local\Temp\pip-unpack-0817ep_c\torch-2.0.1+cu117-cp310-cp310-win_amd64.whl is invalid. I've spent 4 hours trying to get a1111 and SDXL up and running but am stuck at trying to get torch installed which means nothing will work until I get it installed somehow.

is there a thing like downgrading a CUDA version? i have cuda 12.2 installed on my machine but it seems wont work for pytorch version i am gonna install with, so i want to find a way to install the 12.1 without messing up with the version 12.2 (took me time to install this existing version so i am scared to just uninstall it or overwrite it with another version as it might broke or sumthn). if downgrading isnt possible, then do i seriously need to download an another version of CUDA i am gonna install? 12.1 is like 3GB

You can try using ROCm instead of CUDA when installing PyTorch, but it’s only supported on Linux, not on Windows… Never tried it myself though. I would say that AMD is still a second class citizen for AI/ML

These steps are mostly for nVidia GPUs, but you can always go with the CPU version. For smaller projects, it works just fine.

ok, updating the two people who commented the same issue with the same reply. i downloaded the EXACT version he downloaded in the video (might be way outdated but i wanted to play safe), the version is 3.10.9. it removed the error for me, that worked for me hope it works for you as well. i'd watch the video regardless though just to be safe.
