How did you determine the ring size for the cylinder bore when you built the b20z
@jakeblowme3103 жыл бұрын
If you could point me in the right direction with that it would be appreciated
@MooreProjects3 жыл бұрын
You can take a set of Micrometers and T gages to check it. I asked my machine shop to check it when I had them hone it. So I got a standard set of rings and bearings
@jakeblowme3103 жыл бұрын
@@MooreProjects thanks so send the block and head to a shop and have them re seat the valves and hone the cylinders? And check the size I’ll need? First engine rebuild just trying to figure it out
@jakeblowme3103 жыл бұрын
@@MooreProjects before I buy the kit ^
@MooreProjects3 жыл бұрын
@@jakeblowme310 yes I would take it to a shop and get everything checked by a machine shop so they can verify how much material needs to be taken off for everything to work properly. Then order your rebuild parts according to them. If they are just honing the block and micro polishing the crank, and it’s the first rebuild on the engine, then you can assume to use Standard sized rings and bearing

How much lower than stock would they be if the set at max ride height?
@MooreProjects3 жыл бұрын
You can set it basically at stock height in the front and it would be about an inch lowered in the rear at max height

And no i highly doubt it bottomed out with that much threads I guarantee you it gripped with the bottom/3rd ring and it started to grip with it causing it to not go down further
@hondahatch34602 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to spin the whole column. You loosen the 2nd one and spin the top ring to lower it right? Spin the 2nd one to raise it, cause all it does it spin the spindle. Not the springs. Right?

They have them on eBay. CRV cluster overlay. I love them. Easy to install, just be careful when sliding the overlay over the needles. I broke one of mine and had to source another cluster from the junkyard.
Thanks brother. Just got me another 2000. Needs some work though but getting it fixed piece by piece. Love your vids. One more question for you, how are those coilovers holding up? I'm looking at getting those this week.

Well I did say at the beginning I was rebuilding all of suspension. So I also made it a better view to see what you were doing. And the upper adjustable control arms are a must if you are lowering unless you grind your factory ones down some so they don’t get stuck in the frame
