Great channel. Really enjoy your videos. I've installed the Icons and then got of track and installed the Smooth 6 Theme which you brought to my attention in your video. Great stuff. Much appreciated.

Thank you! Do you know how to customize the Virtual Midi Keyboard? I would love to see the keys being turned on when I play with the color I choose.

The borders doesn´t work for windows, I've tried everything but find it imposible.

Hello Daniel! - I am happy to help. Is it the default borders that won't change? Or are you not able to get any of the borders to show up? If you can give me a rundown of what you did or send a video that'd help a lot 💪

I have the same problem on windows. I followed the instructions but the borders just won't work
@reapertips_plus Жыл бұрын
@@kbasemuzik Did you make sure to add the custom toolbar_blank.png to the theme? In all resolutions? 100, 150 and 200~ Once you do that, borders should show up in the custom icons. You need to individually go through each action of your toolbar and set a custom icon to each. Make sure you use the custom icons that you placed in "REAPER → Data → ToolbarIcons"

Hi Alejandro, great video and great looking toolbar! I'm facing an issue when trying to replicate what you did on Windows 11. I can rename the color theme file to .zip but when double-clicking it just applies the theme in Repear and the "Smooth_6.ReaperTheme" folder is not created. There is nowhere to copy the border files. Would you have a work around up your sleeve? Many thanks!

Hello!! aw sorry took me a bit to reply! I forget to check the comments on this channel 🥹 And you are right!! sorry I dont have windows, but I just tried on an old windows laptop, and renaming to .zip doesn't seem to change anything, the file is still a .ReaperThemeZip. There's gotta be a way to change the reaper extension! Maybe using something like 7-zip to extract the files inside? I am gonna ask someone and get back to you 🙏

For some reason after doing the whole borders process the theme changes to an entirely different looking theme. I can't get the Smooth theme to look like it's supposed to.

Hey sorry I didn't reply to this sooner :( - if you are over instagram, or discord, you can send me a message and I can help you set it up! It'd be helpful if you sent me a screen recording installing it so I can spot the problem~

Instead of closing and reopening reaper to see the changes, you can just click “reload images” in the theme tweaker

@@reapertips_plus by the way, I modded your mod to the smooth 6 theme (the pro tools tcp fx) so it only shows fox when they are inserted, also threw in so,e buttons from the theme assembler by white tie. It’s in the theme stash as “smooth assembly 6”. I subscribed by the way… there aren’t enough reaper channels imo and I like what you are doing!

Hey, one question, the "Ripple editing" button has 3 icons (off, per track, all tracks) but when I change it from the toolbar editor it only shows the one I selected (one icon for three functions), do you know if there's a way to solve that?
@reapertips_plus Жыл бұрын
Yes, that's one thing I noticed. Unfortunately the solution isn't super straight forward :( Steps would look like this: You'd have to open the theme and grab the three ripple icons and open them in a photo editor: toolbar_ripple_all.png toolbar_ripple_off.png toolbar_ripple_one.png In the photo editor, you'd change the hue so it matches the colors from your set. And also you need to add the border you liked as background. (If you use 150, 200 resolution remember to do the same with those icons) Then export it and put it back into the theme. Lastly, when customizing the ripple icon, select 'default' icon. This would grab the icon from the theme with all the different states. --- Yeah - it's some work :( not sure if worth it. I just use a script found in reapack that colors the transport according to the ripple state. "Script: X-Raym_Change transport theme element background color according to ripple state.lua" - t

Very nice job, but in Windows on a 1440p monitor I'm still not getting the borders. The icons are brighter which is great but it still feels like half a victory. I can get toolbar icons (including custom text ones) to have a button/border in practically every theme except Smooth and of course default Reaper 6. And Smooth is my favorite hands down :( I assume there's a good reason Reaper 6 doesn't accommodate this functionality but I wish I knew what it was and whether it's worth it.
@reapertips_plus Жыл бұрын
Aw thank you, hello! - Just to make sure, did you manually replace all toolbar icons with the new ones you imported to Data > ToolbarIcons? If you still don't see borders, it may be because the theme is using the default toolbar icons that are inside the theme, which are the default ones. (these have the original border baked in). For this reason, I recommend to use the custom icons that you placed in "REAPER > Data > ToolbarIcons" for the borders to show up. If you imported the green default icons, you can search for "green default grid" in the filter and that one should have borders. --- Let me know if after manually replacing the icons with the one you imported you still have trouble, we can try something else 🤔
@riddarhyttan Жыл бұрын
@@reapertips_plus Yes, I've manually selected the new icons after unpacking/repacking the theme. Just to be clear, they do have borders when they're enabled and the icons you made are brighter which is great. When the button isn't enabled, however, the border is invisible until I hover over it at which point the button changes hue as normal. It's not a big deal at all since they look good anyway. What bugs me more is when we make text icons for custom actions. In Default Reaper 6 and in Smooth they're just ugly blotches of text since the toolbar_blank.png doesn't work. In Smooth Light Blue (which I think you modded?) it works though. I've tried shifting the blank toolbar from one to the other, repacked it, and it's still not happening. It's just weird. Smooth Light Blue works and looks great though, I've tweaked a few colors to my preference and I'll probably stick with that instead of tearing my hair out over a single blank .png.

So you have manually put the icon in the folder instead of dropping the entire file into into the icon folder in Reaper
