A hydraulic press for installing a ring gear?! Tha heck? Every gear shop, old timer on the forums, and shade tree mechanic I know literally tell you NOT to do this. You dont press it on, you dont pull it on with bolts, you dont hammer it on. You heat it up, and it slips on. If it doesnt slip on, it's wrong.

As stated, the ring gear is designed to have friction, if you can't tell by the many videos these guys have put out, that they know exactly what they're doing, then get out from under your 'shade tree' and into a real workshop.
