The Electric Ratchet Wrench is made from Husky and can be purchased at Home Depot and Lowes. It does not fit the clearance in all vehicles roof racks and at times is easier to work through a moonroof if you have one.

Are the plates, carriage bolts and nylock nuts stainless steel?

Yes, the hardware is stainless steel as to prevent any rusting or corrosion but still plenty durable

Does the hardware that come with this work on the SmittyBuilt 76717 roof rack?

Lots of RTT mounting hardware is the same or similar however we have no idea if these work for those tents.

Had this tent for a little over a year and I can't seem to get it to stop squeaking when I drive. Would adding the spacers fix this? Not eager to spend $40 and go through taking the thing off and on again but I would if it would stop the squeaking.

We can't diagnose your squeaking over messaging. It could be a number of things but the our rooftop tents don't typically squeak as everything is fixed into position once mounted. Make sure everything is mounted tightly. The spacers may help this situation but we have no idea what the sqeaking is coming from so we can't make any promises. For all we know it could be your suspension or something else. Best of luck, feel free to stop by our shop if you are local and we can try to help diagnose the squeaking.

Is it ok to have this tent with people on roof? I check manual on my GX470 and it says that maximum weight on roof carriage should not exceed 60Kg, but this tent with people definitely exceed?

Yes the 60kg is just while you're driving! You can definitely use a rooftop tent! Just make sure you have good cross bars to support the rent and the people!

Did you install the tent on the factory roof rack and cross bars ? I have a ford escape I was told to buy after market cross bars that are expensive as hell.

Yes we have installed them on factory crossbars. We install them on many factory crossbars and have never had an issue. For safety and ease we always recommend to everyone to upgrade their crossbars to something stronger such as Thule, Yakima or Rhino Racks. Its a recommendation but the choice is ultimately yours if you want to install it on factory crossbars. Also some vehicles have extremely low profile roof racks which can make it very difficult for most people to even be able to install the roof top tent.

On the track bars underneath, am I able too apply those horizontally rather than vertical due to the way my roof rack is? I'd be applying this. on a stock FJ roof rack.

Victor, for this tent the mounting beams are within the mold of the tent therefore it will not allow the beams to be placed horizontal. For the FJ roof rack it can be a bit tricky. Our best option would be to either get an entire aftermarket overlanding roof rack or get some of the Yakima crossbars that will sit above the OEM basket rack so that the tent can sit level.
