These covers are so much more work than the old kind. Thanks for the tips… we have 5 dangling switches that the tile guy left as our problem 🤨

Great video! Are there no shorter screws available for purchase?
@bsea358 ай бұрын
You can use your wire cutters, some have a dedicated threaded hole to cut the screw shorter or you can get a metal cover and screw it into the uninstalled outlet and grind off the back of the screw then use that screw on your plastic plates.

Hmm, fun video but I would not show mistakes like this, I would screw the screw into something to try to grind it or use an 'Irwin wise grip' spanner. What about fitting a kind of gasket behind your plate to stop the wobbling? Thanks for the work anyway

Great suggestion Armando!

Agree, and what need to do if have space b/t receptacle plate and material backing (I.E.: tile, drywall, wood, etc...); as it would allow to “suck” in the plate. Just an FYI, be cautious as too much “pressure pulling plate in” could cause to crack, along with when snap plate cover on, might not get a “good fit”. Cheers✌🏼

Did you have to turn the elecity off?

Probably not if you're installing just the plate, but it's always better to be safe than sorry so you should do what you feel comfortable with the most . Good luck!

cannot tell if your plate is flush on the wall. I drilled holes behind the screw holes, but mine are porcelain tiles. So plate fits flush against the tile and all was well. Thanks for this video helped me to realize these screw-less covers are not hassle-less heh
