Watched your video. Ordered shopee. Dismantle the center console of my 2nd car. Everything was okay until...the pin clip. That thing really...really annoyed me to took it off😂. I was sweating like shit struggling to take the pin off the joint. Either took it out nicely and install it back OR cut it and replace it. I took the 2nd option. I can't stand it anymore😂. Everything was easy EXCEPT that clip. Took me more time there rather than anywhere else. Eventually its done now😅.

Nice work but the shift still seem long, maybe only a bit shorter. In videos for other cars, the shift is VERY SHORT, almost too short! I really need a short shifter but someone need to design this one better. The problem with Wira/Satria is that 1st gear is very far away if you have the driver seat all the way back for tall drivers. I have to stretch arm and move body to get to 1st and then 2nd/4th is very long and my elbow hits the back of seat. Proton did this badly.

1 way to make it shorter is to cut the top part of the shifter.. make the shifter lower.. the more u cut the shorter the shifter..

@@KustomZ Is the shifter you installed giving a shorter shift than your cut-stick? Also, do you lose the leather boot when installing the shifter?

@@cvcoco yes.. the distance is shorter.. you can feel the shorter distance especially in gear 2 3 4.. the leather boot is still there.. in this video im just to lazy to put it back.. haha

@@KustomZ Ok thanks for the info. First thing though, another topic, maybe you can advise me. Im in Penang and the 1.3 needs valve seals. First, do you know any shop here that is qualified to do it without removing the head, and second, in case it doesnt stop the problem and I then need valve guides, I would want the same shop to do it. Do you see where Im going with this? By the time a person needs valve seals, you probably also need piston rings and if you do that, you need an o-haul of the head and rings and crank bearings and seals. By the time you need valve seals, you are really looking at an engine rebuild because valve seals wont be the only thing wrong. If I do that, you see i'd want a good shop to do the whole job properly and then whats the cost? And if that, is it better to have a shop work on your engine or buy a rebuilt block from another shop?

@Wan Tan if you track your car, this is a good performance upgrade because it can shorten your shift time. Shorter shift time=faster car. Although the performance increase is not significant, it can help you to get better lap time
