How to install Side Awning on a 4WD | SUNSEEKER 2.5m | Rhino-Rack 2022

Hi everyone,
I gave Pio a Rhino-Rack Sunseeker 2.5m awning for Christmas and we decided to take a video on how we install it on our Toyota Prado. 🎄🎉🎁

I'm becoming afraid that this isn't going to work with the existing roof rack and crossbars on my vehicle.😢 Is this item considered universal?

Good video, looking forward to install same roof rack in my prado, my concern is clearance in a car park, I don’t want to remove factory rails and use same SX system. Any comments? Thanks

We just fit in a >2.1m clearance with all the accessories on top and ours have a 2inch lift as well. That’s why the awning is positioned just the same height as the roof rack otherwise the clearance required will be too big. :)

Is the L bracket suppose to be facing up or down? I saw on one of rhino rack video is pointing down I guess is up to user

I think it’s up to the user? We tried it facing up and it looks odd for us. The awning was set up high (like it’s floating in the air and adds more height clearance for our already lifted 4WD) and not in level with the pioneer platform so we had to put it facing down and it looks better this way. :) Hope this helps.

You can face them up or down depending on the height of your vehicle. 🚗
