This is an excellent tutorial on how to replace the Xterra outside mirror. The freezing weather broke the electrics inside, so I bought a new one to replace it costing less than $50. I believe I could have replaced just the motor, but it's the same amount of work if not more, so I went with the complete assembly.

I'm installing these on my 05 Nissan Xterra S 4x4 (219,xxx miles) right now. I tow a 22 Geo Pro 19 BH and cant see anything out of the stock side mirrors. After installing the passenger side, I already know there is going to be a major difference in viewability. Thank you for making this video.

I've mostly installed one of these mirrors on my 2011 Xterra Pro-4x and found the electrical connector on the mirror side is not the same as on the truck side, so the connectors will not connect together, and the mirrors cannot be powered. Can you tell me if there is an adapter I can use to make these mirrors work? I bought the mirrors with the heated option and am wondering if that is why the connectors are different. That would've been nice to know before I ordered it and took my door apart. There are 3 wires on the truck-side connector and 5 wires on the mirror-side connector.
