please sir am having a dell latitude e6440, i tried to follow the steps each after another but at the end i found this driver DW5808E and DW5808 LTE Mobile Broadband and GNSS Driver which i downloaded and installed but unfortunatelly on inserting my simcard it was not detected. 🙏🙏 please help me out. thank you

You need to have a WWAN card installed. The SIM slot is inside your battery area. I have a Dell XPS L701x running Linux Mint 19.1 and did not need to hunt for drivers. Mint detected it and found the right driver automatically. Forget about ever making this work if you have windows 10.

Latitude 5480, in device manager the card is listed as dell wireless 5814E. Mobile card is shown but says "no receive". dell mobile broadband manager says "mobile broadband device does not answer" with an exclamation mark. Any idea? Thanks for help

the sim card is for the Global navigation satellite system (GNSS). you cannot use the sim to for voice or text or sms or data. its only for location and then there is a subscription FEE.

Am not sure what model I had but think it was the d630 (meanwhile 8 years ago) I had an UMTS PCMIA card, took the SIM out of it and placed it in the SIM Card slot. Connected flawlessly, no longer need to take the PCMIA out of my laptop bag. Could both use it for dial in and internet access.
