Great video, very clear explanations. Sounds like the "ideal tool list" is: 1. U-Joint / Swivel Socket - 1/4" and 3/8" (two of these) 2. 10mm Ratcheting Monkey Wrench 3. Magnet Tool Plus the standard sockets / extensions and spark plug socket.

I finally got my HKS plugs installed today and right as they were being installed a massive storm started pushing in and it has been raining all day and I had to bring my car home and park it for the rest of the day. Not sure when the rain will end but hopefully tomorrow will be a nice dry day in order to have some E30 mix fun on Map 3 for the first time. It was supposed to take place today, but of course hello weather!! 🤣

@@6speedkillz821 honestly I think I get bigger gains on map 2. The gauges on the JB4 may say a higher number at times, but what I feel is what matters.

When you said those plugs are “already pre gapped” does that mean they were shipped to you like that or you personally pre gapped them?

Do you use the KIA torque specs for installation? Or tight + 1/4 turn. I use dielectric grease on the ceramic portion of the plug to make sliding the coil pack back over the plugs. Worked well. Definitely a DIY project I will never pay a dealership to do this ever again. Well done. I was wondering when you’d get around to this. All the good work you’ve done is paying off. Thanks for this.

My dad is a mechanic and has installed probably thousands of plugs. We didn’t have a torque wrench but I trust his judgment! I believe factory spec is 20ftlbs. And thank you I really appreciate the support!!
