how is the cap at bottom of extended pole secured

I have a silly question, my ground copper wire is exposed it may touch the other wires. Any suggestions please thank you

An exposed copper ground wire is completely normal and is not an issue at all.

I have a 20 years old Hampton Bay fan. I want to replaced. It have a canopy band holding the canopy on. I can’t and don’t know how to remove the band to release the canopy.

Typically the canopy ring just twists to lock in place. To remove the canopy ring, twist it off and it will slide down and expose the screws in the canopy that are actually holding the fan in place.
