With these snap in showers, the walls and floor have to be perfect!!! I still noticed a bigger than normal gap on yours at the bottom right corner!

the only complaint is these stalls dont come in taller sizes.. I mean how hard it is to leave some plastic so customers can choose the height and cut it themselves....

Yeah true. Def short. But I feel like most people these days would not want to deal with that. But they should have the option

Good job! I would have made the doorway smaller if possible or moved it over if possible to allow more room for the shower. Also, installing a 2x6 for the curtain rod support would be nice too. 🤠

This is so helpful, thank you so much. I have a question because i didnt leave my studs open. I have a Mobil home which i had to insulate the walls and i used kurdi board so that it will be totally water proof and the walls would be solid. I’m planning on putting a plastic umm bead board looking finish because it will match everything all around and my sheet rock in the Mobil home is only 1 fourth of an inch i want to stiffen the walls. There is only 1x3 studs inside the walls and 2x6 on outside walls. Should i remove the kurdi board? It is 100 percent water proof. I could always remove if so and just use it to cover the tops of the shower. I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you very much.

i dont think you should just make sure to connects to the studs behind it on parts where screws are needed. or just glue the hell out of it hehe. you're doing custom setup so will not be traditional way. can even run think studs on top of hte board but dont think needed. but as long as you have the walls and base or square and level it will all line up and connect just fine. and shower wont leak if all lined up, i think you'll be good.

Do you have a shower door you suggest for these or have a video of you installing one on these shower pans with that weird ass lip?

I found several places online that told me a shower door isn’t an option for this specific kit. I believe you’re limited to a curtain only.

Do you have to install 2x4 or 2x3 on edges for a door?
@DaveCrawford-jl9nn3 ай бұрын
You have to mount a 2x4 or 2x6 (or two) on each side depending on the door you might add later.

Omg, the reason they show videos for the drain is that you install it on the pan before install
@DaveCrawford-jl9nn3 ай бұрын
Not possible when installing into concrete or wherever no bottom access exists. I'm dealing with this right now. If you glue the base down and attach it and have no access from below, the only 2 choices you have are to drop in PVC along with an outer bushing to complete the seal (which I do not want to do). The alternative (which I'm going to do) is set the drain very carefully so it is flat and has some movement available (and put the paper and rubber washers onto the glued bottom half of the drain). Then, like this guy did, set the base then put sealant on the upper ring/base sealing surface and tighten a quarter to half turn past where the ring contacts the base. No good option here.
