How to Install the Denali S4 Led Pods pt2

Great video! I have the S4 pods on my 2019 390 Duke on front fender just like your install. These are piercing small light pods but will always blind the oncoming traffic even after installed low angled down and dimmed to 50%. The light intensity won't be much useful to see farther at this point. These have a circular 25° flood beam in the lower LEDs instead of elliptical/horizontal flood beam (fluting), the beam is not controlled and lights up everything on it's way and the spot LEDs are not very powerful to project farther into the distance. So it's a perfect auxiliary high beam light to use when no traffic is around. I'm thinking to move these higher up to front forks as auxiliary high beams. The D3 4 LED SAE fog pods would have the best horizontal beam and cutoff for my application, but they'll be too big to fit on my naked bike and consumes more power. So, I'm planning to get and install the smaller D2 pods with flood lenses running at 100% power all the time to complement my headlight's weak low beam as these pods seem to have a horizontal/elliptical flood beam with a modest power draw of 10W per pod. I plan to mount these on the front fender just like your DM pods on R3. I couldn't find any real world photos of the beam pattern of these lights online or videos on KZbin except your DM/D2 install videos where I got a glimpse of it. Those were useful. Could you share few images of the D2 pods with flood lens against a wall and on a dark road so that I can get an idea of what I'm getting (light intensity, width, vertical spill, horizontal cutoff, distance) and if that's going to be really useful for my application. Your recommendation and real world experience would help me whether I should purchase these premium light pods or not. Because these are small single LED 10W light pods priced very close to bigger D3 and D4 pods that have way more performance. Thanks.

Thanks. But it shows the D2 lights with spot lens. I cannot find a photo or video of the beam pattern with flood lens installed.

yes I have both & have a switch to turn all on or all off

It took me 5 months to find you hahaha I said wait a min this is the guy with the lights on the forks. Hahah
