You could install British gypsum sound block plasterboards and install a Isover acoustic partition roll in between the existing wall and metal studs. If you had a small void between studs, Isover and the old wall you would enhance the acoustic performance to the wall even further, although this would take up more space. Sealing everything around the perimeter with gyprock sealant would help.
