Thanks for the instruction video , it made installation easier . I scanned the bar code to make sure this fits my Neotec 2 . It fits Neotec 2 helmets made on or after March 8, 2019 . Boy was I pissed when I stripped down the helmet and saw that it was made on March 7, 2019 . But I’m happy to say the Sena SRL 2 fit like a glove . I just hope it works okay as I just now finished installing with your video .

Great to hear the SRL 2 fit in the end! The main difference between the two Neotec 2 versions is the microphone mount, which, for previous Neotec 2s, would not fit the SRL 2, but seems like this was fortunately avoided. Once you have a chance to try it out, we'd love to hear how you found the SRL 2

Yes, since both now take the same system, if you have an SRL 2 in your GT Air 2 you can also use it in your Neotec 2

Does the Sena SRL 2 come with the HD Speakers, or do i have to get it separately? How's the original speaker quality in terms of music listening?

The SRL 2 does not include HD speakers, nor is it possible to add them afterwards since the system is completely wired up. Only the Sena 50R and 50S include Sena's new HD speakers. As far as speaker quality, when we tested out the system, we found that compared to the Cardo Packalk and Sena 50R it was decent though not as strong as these two competitors since it had trouble with the bass range and was skewed to the treble. I wonder what year this Video was Made ???????? Looks like it may have been made in 2019. Revzilla in the USA Descriptions for the SLR1 and SLR2 talked in circles and did not tell what the difference was or what the changes were. My other Helmet is a Shoei Air ... witch does not have provisions for a integrated communicator.. but I use what appears to be the far Better Brand "Cardo" Pak Talk Slim. It's 100% Water Proof . Cardo actually has Customer support and Cardo actually honors warranties.

I have a question on the ear pads and noise. The SRL2 speakers have (much) less padding area than the original padding that is replaced. Is this noticeable in the riding noise? Is the helmet more noisy after the SRL2 is installed?

Unfortunately, we have not had a chance to test out the Neotec 2 with the SRL 2 installed. We would expect the helmet to be about slightly louder or about the same noise level since there would be less padding. Thanks for the question! What are your thoughts on the Sena system?

Hey there! If you're asking if we sell the new version of the Neotec 2, then yes, we only sell the Neotec 2 that takes the SRL 2. However, if you had a different question, just let us know and we'll be happy to answer that one too

Is the microphone reversible?

Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, no, you can't switch what side the microphone is on since it will only plug in on the right side of the SRL 2, even though there are grooves on either side

I find the voice command infuriating to use... just does not seem to recognise the most basic commands. "play music", "stop"..... "say a command".... "say a command".... ARGHHH! I also noticed the Neotec 2 is pretty noisy and sometimes I can't hear the music/voice properly.... can the speakers be raised closer to the ear, or maybe the original ear sponge be replaced to have a tighter seal to block the wind noise? thanks

Unfortunately, the snaps of the SRL 2 speakers can't be adjusted and the foam on the speakers is not replaceable. However, that being said it may be possible to create your own solution with a set of foam spacers and velcro. As far as the voice command issue, it may require adjusting the microphone's positioning to get a clearer signal. Thanks for the question! Besides the voice commands, what are your thoughts on the SRL 2?

@@Championhelmets speaker quality is an issue. It's ok for GPS direction or phone calls but Music quality is just not so good. Sounds hollow without base. Also with the loud wind noise the volume is just not loud enough at higher speed. Earplugs with volume booster helps a little but still terrible. Mic position is not so good as it always gets caught when you lift the front face up. C4 pro looks better integrated. Battery life is ok. I can go for a full day ride with comms and listen to music/podcast and maybe out of batt by around 9 hours. Battery charging usb plug could be located at a better position as it would stick up and lift the helmet off the table. Some issues with using the Android app to connect other riders' sena and would freeze the unit. Required a reset to get it working properly again. Warranty checked and was told to not use app 😐 I think the biggest issue is the headset. Too shallow and small and can't be upgraded. Previous SENA I had SMH5 had better speakers.

@@okitoki1973 We found the battery life of the system did about the same, but we also found the speakers were not quite as strong as we hoped, though this is also an effect of their size. It will certainly be an interesting few years as we see what Sena and Shoei come up with as a successor to the Neotec 2, which also meets the new upcoming safety standards. Battery pack is not fitted properly

Thanks for the comment! It is important to double check that the trim comes overtop of the SRL 2 battery pack, it can be easy to miss, especially when looking over the opposite side of the helmet. The correct trim position is shown when reinstalling the liner. What are your thoughts on the SRL 2 so far?

How does it work with Hello Sena. srl2 LANGUAGE FEATURES. What commands does she understand to do what.

It has been 4 months since I have been using this intercom with Neotec 2. It sucks during calls. I cannot hear anyone and every time I must stop to hear the person. Also when you adjust the volume during calls it suddenly becomes too loud. Very dangerous! Music quality is ok. I also have a Chinese one which costs only 40 USD and 1000 times better than this. do not waste your money. Try another one maybe Cardo...

Thanks for sharing how you found the SRL 2, it's always helpful! It's a shame the system did not work out, though hopefully the next one turns out better, especially since Cardo are well known for their high-quality speakers. What's your opinion on the system's other features like intercom or pairing?
