Great video and clearly shows how easy install is. I dabbed some olive oil on my screws to help prevent them from seizing up. I totally agree the shelf should be included with the smoker. Thanks for posting the video.

What if you have an early model pro 34 that doesn't have the two screws on each side?

It’s used in automotive repairs/work but you can buy “never seize” so bolts and screws don’t seize into place from rust. I will most likely use this when my shelf arrives. Thanks for the video.

The bolt never came out on mine. It just spun the entire bolt and die assembly. It's less than a week old grill.

I've got the old tex 75 (same as the newer 34) and just added the shelf last year. If you don't have it and are thinking about it...just buy it. Pulling a brisket or ribs out to wrap is so much easier, and I don't have to use dawn nearly as often to clean up grease from the concrete 🤣😂. It also fits easily under the standport cover.

I noticed the phillips screws were pretty big and different sizes. What Phillips screw driver number are you using? Also how much weight can that table hold?

I used a #2 screwdriver to take out the screws in the side of the Traeger. As far as weight capacity for the shelf. It’s not well published but I did see one link that said the shelf can hold up to 30 pounds. Hope this helps!

I just ordered one for my Texas Elite which is about 5-6 years old, or thereabouts. A quick glance, and there they were (the screws) waiting on the shelf. :) A battery operated impact driver will make short work of loosening those screws. :)
