How to install Traxxas LED lights on the X MAXX 💡

My lights come on but they don’t come on when braking or reversing. Have u had this problem

There’s even more functions on that light kit so you know. Will this kit work with an aftermarket esc? Can you also run these lights with an aftermarket radio transmitter? Thanks

Nite Train no, probably not, you could run the front, but probably not the back since it uses a 2 stage light system!

Just installed this kit or maybe different Traxxas part # on my Maxx, not X-Maxx and they light up but I have no “stop/brake” light or “reverse/back up light”.. Just constant on. I do have the toggled modes for brighter light up front. What do you think is going on?

You might be using a different lighting kit. I recommend the traxxas XMAXX kit. Works perfectly with reverse and brake lights.

why would you want that light on the back window what good is that put it on the roof are somewhere practical where it looks real Nobody Does that on the back if you're going to put them on the back you should put them on the chassis not buddy that way you can take the body off to clean it up without having to unplug the wires every time

If you own this truck, the original location is the best. Traxxas had no choice. The weak spot on the Xmaxx is landing on the rear bumper. Mounting under the the rear bed bars protects the lights from damage in during rollovers.

Did the brake lights work without the app ? I just installed it . The lights all light up . I don’t have brake or reverse lights

The light module controls when the lights turn on and off. You can probably go without but the lights will be on full-time if you do.

No trying to be a hater here but if your going to do a instructional video you should show which bolts go where, which harness connectors go where, and so on. I thought it would be easier to watch a video rather than follow the instructions that came with the light kit. Half of your video your filming steps that are blocked by the RC and body. Think it’s time for another career!
