How do I know if I’m actually installing troll store 2 versus troll star 1? The apps icon is exactly the same… I’m new to this first timer that’s why I ask.

On the outside, there’s really not much of a difference, but Installing this on iOS 16 means you’re installing TrollStore 2. Most people at this point just refer to it as just TrollStore, but version 2 and up work for all of the tweak injection stuff as well

so I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max I believe A15 chip and iOS 16.6.1.. I've heard that this method works I use alt store all the time for Pokemon go spoofers but idk what troll star troll store or troll misaka are. At the moment I'm trying ro "exploit the kernel" but it's just either frozen on exploit screen or it just crashes the app. Any help?? I've been in the jailbreak scene since swipe to jailbreak lol but I feel so old rn doing this and I'm only 24

If you haven’t been keeping tabs on it recently it’s definitely gotten confusing I totally understand what you mean 😂 been doing this since 2013 myself. If you can’t figure this method out and you can hold on a little bit longer there’s another method that should be coming out eventually too. TrollStore just allows you to have apps never expire and these are ways of installing it

Thanks for pointing that part of the video out, I've been reusing that same AltStore clip for ages, the mail plug in isn't needed anymore in new macOS versions/versions of AltServer

You may have just deleted it from your home screen, if you search for it and it’s still there it’s because it’s still in your App Library. If it’s still in your App Library you can delete it and then reinstall it

No lol that’s the whole point of TrollStore. As long as you don’t delete it, TrollStore and any apps you install with it work permanently without revokes

Just quit out of the app, restart your phone and try it again hopefully it’ll work, you also may or may not be on the supported iOS versions as well

You don't need to do anything in the mail app anymore if you're on the latest version of AltStore. Altserver doesn't require the mail app plugin anymore

How can I refresh the app’s lifespan in altstore? When i click nothing happens

every 7 days make sure to open alt server on your computer and let your phone on the same wifi sync up to altserver, it should do this automatically as long as on the top right of your mac you see alt server is on. but once you have dopamine 2.0 and are jailbroken, you really don't ever have to worry about alt store apps anymore. as long as trollstar and dopamine 2.0 are installed, you're good and you can permanently sideload apps through trollstar instead of alt store. alt store was only needed to get trollstar, the more permanent solution.
