I know it's not the subject of this video, but I see that you're using the Gilles Titanium axle nut. I've seen some posts recommending it and with people stating that stock axle nut was freezing after installing the spooled adjuster plates. How does the pin lock on the Gilles axle nut work? I heard you say 77ft-lb which is the normal torque for the MT07 axle nut and I didn't see you use an allen on the nut to activate the pin.

can you clarify something for me? I bought some $25 spools from cycle gear but im noticing a handful of spools advertise themselves as being slider spools or spool sliders and I am wondering if they all serve that purpose or if only ones named as "spool sliders" also are strong enough to function as sliders instead of just spools. thank you for your assistance as always
@TSTindustries4 жыл бұрын
I am assuming you are asking about r3 or mt03 because your comments typically come through videos on that bike subject. For this particular bike spools and spool sliders can help save the threads on the rear axle but dont go far beyond that. In a certain type of crash they will actually contribute to bending the swingarm around the mounting boss. We had our racers bend swingarms around the spool area many times and then we designed a system that uses a GP lift system instead of a spool, does not protrude very far, uses two points of attachment, and has a flat and long delrin crash energy absorption component. These parts are the only way we have found to prevent most of the damagae modes in the rear swingarm area. They also include a captive chain adjustment setup so your chain adjuster and spacer components dont puke all over you everytime you remove the rear wheel. That is a high end setup that mostly just racers use but its less expensive than parts and labor of changing the swingarm

what is the other style lifter? and what best for just a street riders first bike as far is lifters
@TSTindustries4 жыл бұрын
I dont push the more expensive parts on people because i understand that not everyone wants to spend several times the cost of spools on an r3 or mt03 for rear lifters. But when presented with the question the way you asked it i can honestly answer that our gp system is the most user friendly and protects the bike the most in the swingarm area. If your question is in fact about the MT7 then the other type of lifter we mentioned is a through axle system that lifts the bike nicely, protects in crashes really well, is inexpensive, but does not help you much when you want to take the rear wheel off or adjust chain

Can you remove rear wheel while having bike on spools with these? Or it will fall down when you loosen wheel?
@TSTindustries2 жыл бұрын
Keeping those captive in the swingarm is the main point of this setup. Review this video, specifically at 4:30
@mnap892 жыл бұрын
@@TSTindustries I have seen the whole video. And while I understand how this piece is mounted in the swingarm and it will not fall off by itself when you remove the wheel, I am curious if you can use these to put the bike on rear stand and remove the wheel. Will they hold the bike weight with the wheel removed?
@TSTindustries2 жыл бұрын
@@mnap89 I guess I didn't make my last response specific enough. That is this setup's exact function. It keeps bike on paddock stand while wheel is out, and it also keeps all the adjuster elements captive. This way only the axle, but, and blocks come off, and everything else stays on/in while bike awaits wheel suspended on the paddock stand.

We only charge what we are charged. Most of the time, we actually get charged more than what we charge our customers. Is it possible that you chose some kind of express shipping service? Or maybe you are in an international location in which case the shipping amount will be higher than domestic.
