How to Install TWRP & Root w/ Magisk on Samsung Android! [UNIVERSAL METHOD] [Android Root 101 #2]

if you never had a roted phone before enjoy the functionality with magisc and xposed(gravitybox = best) and enjoy battery life with greenify .. you can also use "android tool" to further debloat the remaining apps that you want on your phone .. many apps have services but shouldnt , you can turn off those services and modules with android tool , battery life = 3 days

When i try to get into TWRP, it boots into downloadmode again It worked on my friends phone but not on mine, which is the exact same S10+ I cant even reboot in my OS, only in DWNLDMD. Hello sir iam installed a custom rom in twrp and iam today remove a twrp I think custom ROM will be uninstalled or not

If you remove TWRP, your custom ROM is still there. TWRP gets installed into recovery partition, separate from system partition so does not affect how a custom ROM runs. If you want to remove custom ROM or change to another ROM, you can use TWRP recovery so pretty much good idea to leave it unless you want to restore 100% stock firmware. In that case, simply unroot using ODIN and stock firmware.

At 24:10 you reboot into recovery and the "unmodified system partion" message appears. Earlier you said that would NOT appear if the data partition was not encrypted. Thats what I see also and I can not get the data partition decrypted after boot into system and returning to twrp. I'm running.. Oreo 8.0 twrp 3.2.3 magisk 18.0 Can you explain whats going on? Superuser access for gsi is easier because you patch your stock firmware boot.img with the latest magisk apk then flash the patched boot image in fastboot mode.

I was able to root mu SM-A310F (A3 2016) using your method, and then i tried to install Vanced youtube from magisk manager and i turned off oem unlock before doing that. So the phone restarted after installing youtube and now i am stuck in a bootloop, saying Custom recovery blocked by FRP. ODIN also doesnt work due to the block. What should i do?

His tutorial is worth downloading..of all the tutorials that where intimidating me from rooting, this one gave me confidence. a tutorial guide... well detailed and clear enough for a first timer like me...now i have rooted my old samsung galaxy J1 mini prime (sm-106H) smoothly. But had to listen to his video for 2 days though, just to do it right. & i couldn't find my phone's twrp at (twrp.me)... but found my twrp at the xda website under the heading Galaxy J1 Mini Prime SM-J106 Samsung Galaxy Mini...20sept,2017(someone with the same phone might need this for that was my challenge in all this)... a zip file with my phone's twrp and an extra su root file in it, i ignored the su root file, took the twrp2850_v003.tar.md5 file...removed the ''.md5'' words on name into an extention of ''.tar'' only ( twrp2850_v003.tar) infromation i got from the xda and then flashed the twrp with odin magisk root and with all the other important required tools for safer rooting of complicated phones..from highonandroid & i had no problems in rooting and installing magisk . thank you Mr Lee.

The 7 day jail can be overcome easily by changing the system date to 8 days ago, and then a few easy settings you can search online with "Galaxy not showing OEM unlock".

Max, in Odin options if you uncheck Reboot, Odin wont reboot the phone after flashing TWRP and you will have time to reboot phone manually into recovery.

i've done all the steps from the video on my Samsung Galaxy J7 Max ... i got the "pass" on Odin but whenever i try to access recovery mode i get the stock one and not TWRP even after trying the same method over and over again.. please help?

it worked i could root a Samsung Galaxy J1 120h 6, but it started reeboting randomly, and it says something about the kernel not enforcing when starting the phone ;(

You will need to use the Odin program on your computer.

Download the stock firmware, plug in phone to computer, open Odin program, look in the COM box it should be blue don't worry about the number, check the log(bottom left corner of the program) next click AP and select the stock firmware. Unplug your phone again and turn it off. Then hold volume down center home and power until you see the warning screen. Press volume up. Reconnect phone to computer and look at Odin make sure it is connected. Then press start. Wait at least 10 minutes before touching the phone. Then you should have a working phone.

I have installed TWRP on J730 but the twrp is saying that no OS installed, and the phone is stacked on Samsung log only, what can I do to install a new firmware? Thank you.

My Samsung galaxy s8 plus Device Security keeps telling me virus found after installing TWRP & Magisk Manager. Why ? When I tried to uninstall it, I can't because it's still there, no matter how many times I try. How can I use it safely without it having a negative effect on my Samsung galaxy s8 plus Device. Even my Samsung Pass where I store my credit card details refuse to work because of rooting of my device. Please I need help ASAP.

dude i did everything but while flashing the megisk zip in twrp it said unsuccesful.. and there was error in red... i booted anyways to once again use this method but now i cant turn on OEM unlock... it asks to turn on and cancel and after pressing turn on nnothing happens.. plz help me out bro i need to root my s7

Basically I somehow dumb enough to press the update magisk button and then reboot. Now it said "only official binaries are allowed to be flashed". What shoud I do???
