if you never had a roted phone before enjoy the functionality with magisc and xposed(gravitybox = best) and enjoy battery life with greenify .. you can also use "android tool" to further debloat the remaining apps that you want on your phone .. many apps have services but shouldnt , you can turn off those services and modules with android tool , battery life = 3 days

If you remove TWRP, your custom ROM is still there. TWRP gets installed into recovery partition, separate from system partition so does not affect how a custom ROM runs. If you want to remove custom ROM or change to another ROM, you can use TWRP recovery so pretty much good idea to leave it unless you want to restore 100% stock firmware. In that case, simply unroot using ODIN and stock firmware.

At 24:10 you reboot into recovery and the "unmodified system partion" message appears. Earlier you said that would NOT appear if the data partition was not encrypted. I was able to root mu SM-A310F (A3 2016) using your method, and then i tried to install Vanced youtube from magisk manager and i turned off oem unlock before doing that. His tutorial is worth downloading..of all the tutorials that where intimidating me from rooting, this one gave me confidence. a tutorial guide... well detailed and clear enough for a first timer like me...now i have rooted my old samsung galaxy J1 mini prime (sm-106H) smoothly. But had to listen to his video for 2 days though, just to do it right. & i couldn't find my phone's twrp at (twrp.me)... but found my twrp at the xda website under the heading Galaxy J1 Mini Prime SM-J106 Samsung Galaxy Mini...20sept,2017(someone with the same phone might need this for that was my challenge in all this)... a zip file with my phone's twrp and an extra su root file in it, i ignored the su root file, took the twrp2850_v003.tar.md5 file...removed the ''.md5'' words on name into an extention of ''.tar'' only ( twrp2850_v003.tar) infromation i got from the xda and then flashed the twrp with odin magisk root and with all the other important required tools for safer rooting of complicated phones..from highonandroid & i had no problems in rooting and installing magisk . thank you Mr Lee.

Some help please, cannot get TWRP recovery to load on Galaxy J3 SM-J320FN J3xnlte Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). Using Odin: 3.10.7, TWRP: The CF-Auto-root Recovery only .tar.md5 file as TWRP does list the above model. Booot device in download mode, run Odin as admin (edit: reboot untcked), start, blue PASS!! (Edit: take battery off, put back on) boot device in recovery mode, ONLY GET STOCK RECOVERY. Have tried this several times ensuring that in there is no normal bootup when going from download to recovery mode. Have tried other TWRPs found around in the web. Result is the same. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Many thanks.

I have a AT&A Samsung S3 but I can't get into TWRP.. At the Up button, Center button and start, it looks like it is working (odin states "pass" ) and the phone screen flashes a new screen that looks like it would be TWRP but then the phone quickly disconnects from the computer and Odin states "removed". I have tried this about 15 times thinking I might have gotten the timing.

My S7 is a SM-G930FD (dual sim India) running Android 7.0 with Android security patch dated March 1, 2018. Followed all the steps in this tutorial - right from twrp tar file till Magisk install - everything seemed to be installed fine - no errors during install. When I test root with RootCheckerBasic app it says "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device." Titanium backup app says "Could not get super user access". I also tried uninstalling Magisk using uninstaller and did again. No luck. :( Any help much appreciated. @MaxLee

i downloaded ''twrp-3.2.3-0-a7y17lte.img.tar'' and pressed ''AP'' in the Odin programe, and when i hit start it says ''failed'' on the top left of the screen. And the following text appears on the corner of my A7 2017 ''Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed(RECOVERY)'' Can someone pls help?? Does this mean i have a locked bootloader??

hi max can you please help me out. i have a j7 prime 2018 and ive installed a titanium app to get rid of the bloatwares on my phone ive uninstalled papergarden, linkedin, briefing, google play music and movies, duo and some samsung fonts after that i did restart my phone and after the j7 prime logo im stuck in an all black screen. ive tried the factory reset on the recovery but it didnt work and the screen is still all black. can you please help me i dont know what to do :( thank you

Okay so I followed your guide precisely but Odin stops at recovery.img and shows a big red FAIL sign... what did I do wrong? Can't find anything on XDA or Google.

dude i did everything but while flashing the megisk zip in twrp it said unsuccesful.. and there was error in red... i booted anyways to once again use this method but now i cant turn on OEM unlock... it asks to turn on and cancel and after pressing turn on nnothing happens.. plz help me out bro i need to root my s7

I'm assuming that you downloaded the wrong files but no matter, your device can be saved. You need to find the stock firmware for your device then use Odin to flash it. Get it from Sam Mobile.

Superuser access for gsi is easier because you patch your stock firmware boot.img with the latest magisk apk then flash the patched boot image in fastboot mode.

hello, after i finished flash magisk using twrp the magisk manager isn't there. so I follow your instructions by install the apk, and then after i open magisk manager it says that magisk is not installed? so then I follow your steps again by rebooting, after reboot it still says my magisk is not yet installed. even tho I followed your exact instructions to the T.... please help...
