Man I've been doing this almost 20 years and cutting your vinyl in before you do your subfloor seems like a hell of an idea.Ive always done it the opposite way but that's a great way to do it.Like they say there is more than one way to skin a cat .Ive scribed my vinyl before but your way seems like a wonderful idea

Luan underlayment is crap.Only use it if you absolutely have to.Try to use better quality Plywood product like Multiply. Well worth added expense.In this video he used cheap vinyl,most vinyl won't bend like this,use cardboard pieces to make a pattern & leave extra for trimming. Always keep pattern straight to the tub.It's the only part where folks look to see if the floor is in square.Behind the terlit doesn't matter.Good vid,just thought i'd toss in a few tips.Oh & don't use a carpet knife! ;)

Great video. But in a kitchen or bathroom, isn't caulking necessary to prevent mold and dryrot issues? This is the second video I've watched in kitchen/bathroom vinyl install. And neither does caulking.

If you left heavy glue marks like that in a highly lighted area(kitchen dinette). or if you don't feather-finish your seams with floor leveler... Once that glue cures and the vinyl sucks down, you'll see all of those imperfections. Fiberglass floors are primarily designed for releasability (pressure sensitive adhesion) Meaning the glue dries BEFORE you lay the vinyl into it, so the floor doesnt "suck down" into the imperfections.

hey you critiquing son of a bitch, I have an idea you make your own how to videos for your channel and post them up, then someone else can do exactly what your doing and pick apart your work!! Oh and guess what your already leaving steps out. Your suppose to let the glue "off gas" per manufacture recommendations before you set the vinyl back into the adhesive this minimizes the amount of bubbles you have to work out .=> you fukin know it all!

It's also important to start nailing your sheets down from the middle-out, then do the seams last. You dont want to trap any bubbles from inconsistencies in the decking. LOL..the entire thing is a glob!! Clean your trowel dude. better yet, do it the right way and use a 3/8 nap paint roller.
