Tiny house is such an eye opener to the people in this part of the world. Now it has inspired me to build my own Off Grid Tiny house and pursue Permiculture. Inspirational!!!

Letting the glue dry rather than wiping it off is a great tip. I would never have thought of that.

Thank you for sharing this. Again, a good lesson for any home improvement needing siding. I'm not doing vinyl siding next time. All wood like this.

cnypilot Thanks! We're so happy with how it looks. Will look even better once it gets it's next coat of oil. We're getting so excited about moving onto the internal fit-out of the house soon!

Bryce, beautiful build. I cant help but wonder you went to the trouble of using steel framing, then used wooden cladding, which I assume is quite heavy. Why didn't you go with marine ply like Brett Sutherlands? Genuinely interested and appreciative of your work.

Nice trick with the aluband,

I cant see what purpose the alu flashing has. Theres already a plastic batten behind the join anyway, but even so, any rain penetrating will just drain down tha waterproof barrier and out at the bottom. It will do exactly the same thing with the alu flashing?

You made a nice joint but you should have staggered them so you didn't have it inline with the one below

err I think you will note that it is staggered? there is no join under the one he just laid?

Marcus Liddell 2 down, no pro would do that

Soooooo...why would no pro do that? From what I saw, it was not visually displeasing. The joins in of themselves looked profoundly better than many I have seen.
