I use local by flywheel for running wordpress locally and there are 2 features missing here that I use in local all the time. One is that I map actual domain names to my local sites and I also have a theme with plugins that I always use in my development and it let's me save that as a blueprint that I can use to rapidly fire up projects with most of what I need. Good to know that there are other options though. I never knew kinsta had this client

Thank you guys. I am happy you mentioned Flywheel because the Docker for M1 Silicon isn't working for me, so I cannot try Kinsta for now.

I’ve only just heard of devkinsta. It’s pretty cool. I’ve been using Mamp pro for a few years but will give this a try.

As always tony another great video. How do you compare Kinsta and cloudways? Also with the local kinsta can you spin up a blue print or clone another site. I use flywheel local but can’t justify costs to go all in with flywheel.

Kinsta is built on GCP and has a bunch of optimizations for WordPress. Because of this, there is a price premium. Cloudways as you know can be run on GCP directly or a VPS as a cheaper option. If you need auto-scaling, the Kinsta is the way to go. For smaller website with less demand, Cloudways will be fine.

Didn't hear about DevKinsta....thx.. If you're only looking to dev some sites with php and mysl or even WP, you can try Laragon as it's a quick install, it's portable and small.
