I've finally got it built, but it doesn't work very well. Half the time the lure never makes it up over the first roof. The door pushes it and it gets almost to the top and rolls back down, or it just flats into the open door. If it does make it over the roof, sometimes the fish pulls off before it even gets to the signs, and sometimes on the signs once there's a fish it pulls back away and escapes. Then on the few times I actually get something, half the time it's worthless garbage like a skull instead of a fish! I wasted a lot of time on this when I'd have gotten more scrap just running the roads. I got 5 fish that I just threw in the composter in disgust. That was after using over 45 bait, because every time it doesn't work you still use a bait.

@@Aelanna 1 Always go to a build server before trying this. 2 use the correct bait so you dont get skulls or trash. 3 In the video I showed you what do do if the bobber doesnt make it over the ramp. 4 ask for help in the discord and ill come help you. 5 follow step 1. I promise this works, just need a little practice maybe.

Note, the foundations dont need to be 100% flat, you just need to equal them out with some half walls!

I also built this on a large server (Rustoria EU Long) and the first night I used it, it was working perfectly. Pop was around 300. Then the next day, I logged in and started fishing and I couldn't catch shit. Kept breaking the line, or just missing the bobber completely. Nothing had changed except for the server pop, which was 600 this time. So weird, I'm wondering if server performance has an effect on how well this works?​@@BooBooMushu

is there any setting you have to turn on so that the ball rolls instead of still swimming? I tried four different foundation hights, but even if it is clearly aboth see level the fish can still swim backwards and sometimes even over rhe ritch great idea non the less

So if the fish bites super early, it is possible for the fish to go up or down the ramp you made. That doesnt happen a lot but its possible.

Cool design! I do get some bugging where the bobber isn't pullable. It doesn't respond to pulling the line and will sometimes run all the way back up the ramp.

There is a chance if the fish bites early that it will swim back up the ramp. If that happens, just treat it like normal or just throw another bobber.

Hey dude maybe you know why it happens? Sometimes when you cast the fishing rod, it consume the bait and then immediately stops/ Any idea why is it happenning?

Thats probably because you're using 1 rod and trying to go fast by putting it away and bringing it back. I found that if I use 1 rod and dont let the animation completely reset. it bugs the rod sometimes and makes the bobber disappear. If you use 2 rods you can swap between and not wait for the animation. Hope that helps. TLDR use 2 rods if you go fast.

Good evening. My teammate built it, but it only works once out of 10 casts. Either the character lets go of the fishing rod after opening the door, or the float does not get over the roof. I don't recommend building this, it doesn't work every time, only every tenth try. I can show it on the Rastykated server.

It probably just needs some minor tweaks. I have an answer for all of ur problems. in the video I show you what to do if the bobber doesnt make it over the roof. just place a sign. If the line is snapping, make sure youre using 2 rods. If it snaps over and over. youve done something wrong. I promise it works. Also, build it on a build server first. Always.

The problem with Rust farms is that they are not very efficient compared to those of other games such as Minecraft, you can get that amount of scrap in an hour by just killing other players.

I know eventually within the first day I will have everything that I need. Usually I dont get to that point until day 2-3. Lets me not be risky and eventually get what I need. built this right now on official server to farm scrap before medium wipe.. but its not 100% efficient. works 5/10 times. sometimes 7/10 times. Sometimes bobber wont go up, sometimes fish gets caught early to bobber jumps off. Weird things keep happening. This needs more refining so its a 100% working system. Farming train tunnels even on a high pop server is faster than this. Including the risk of dying sometimes.

I agree, Needs a little more refining. I just recorded a wipe to see how long it would take to get to AK/Bolt with no BPs. For me it worked better than what youre saying but i did run into all of what youre saying. I had to make small adjustments to get it to work at a 95 ish percent rate. but im also the creator of it so i know how to fix most problems. I will try to keep making improvements.Sorry it didnt have the same level of fluidity I had.
