These tips worked instantly, I chipped eight out of 10 balls how I wanted to and even the bad shots were not so bad. The way you explain this method is very clear and easy to follow. Subscribed!

This has been extremely helpful. When I stand too far from the ball my back swing seems to flatten and I hit it of the shank or even the toe. The more "upright" swing solved the majority of my mishits. Thanks so much for the ongoing instruction!

Eureka! Hours of practicing chipping, years of swearing under my breath (and, I’m ashamed to say, aloud) around the greens as I chunked and skinnied - the shame of using a putter off the greens… -then, my short game transformed by a KZbin video from Chris Ryan!

Thank you. Chris Thank You All good tips. Stand closer , buttons forward, and pivot. I would add loose grip. A lot of poor chippers squeeze the club too hard

Thank you for the tip. I practice in longer grass most of the time in my backyard. SOmetimes im better at the bad lies then good lies which is weird. My be I should chip from the sidewalk :)

I suffer from number 3😂 Some years ago I watched a Freddy Couples tips vid where he talks about using hands and arms only for chip shots. I think this has plagued me for years with having a solid game all around but chipping and bump and run like holding a stick of TNT in my hands. Lol Will def try more body movement next practice session.

Another great video. But when I try to get as close to the ball as you have suggested the club just sticks into my chest and I have to bend my elbows out. I have checked my club length/my height/arm length etc and they are in the correct ball park.
@ChrisRyanGolf5 жыл бұрын
Hey Steven, don’t mind at all if the arms have some slight flex for a chip, could also grip down the club to help

Thanks Brian hope the tips helped, feet a little open is fine yes
@brianwood14515 жыл бұрын
I did try the technique and was very pleased when my first 2 chips from 20-30 stopped within 18 inches of the hole. Definitely stops chucked and thin chips. Thank you very much Chris, your lessons are always easy to understand and relevant. Do you have anything on prevention of hooks as opposed to draws (my natural shot)? Cheers, Brian

try using numbers on a clock face as a reference for regulating backswing and follow thru length to help gauge distances...it's what works for me anyways

The advertising that precedes your video are appalling! Really, Trump conspiracy theories. I have unsubscribed due to this.
@ChrisRyanGolf4 жыл бұрын
Hey Patrick, you are of course entitled to unsubscribe and that’s your choice. I will just let you know However that as youtube creators we have no control over the adverts that get displayed during the videos. The advert you saw is not my choice, it’s not my belief and it’s not something that I have control over I’m afraid. KZbin is a fantastic source of free content, with that come adverts unfortunately which are chosen 100% by youtube
@pianofry11384 жыл бұрын
The creators don't have a choice over advertising. I've seen an Anti-Trump video with him asking for money before the video.

It’s not like American TV. The content contributor has no control over what the YT ALGORITHM tosses in ancillary to his content. I’m fairly sure. Chris doesn’t give a rat’s ass about American politics.
