@k.eyring13 күн бұрын
@@parkroote5902 Thanks. I agree it’s not a great hand to be calling for a flop there, but I wanted to gamble against him because I’m not exaggerating when I say he was playing 100% of hands, and often making big raises like that. A6s is ahead of that range it is just very unfortunate I ran into the top of it there! But very fortunate to get the run out I did.
@parkroote590213 күн бұрын
@@k.eyring I understand that. And you had position. I don't understand the need to gamble with a unicorn. You're clearly the best player at the table. You inflated the pot(with outs...presumably 12[obv KK makes it 9] and minimized your edge. The only factor I don't know is how great your fold equity was against him, again assuming you're not running into the top of his range.
@k.eyring13 күн бұрын
@ so it sounds like you prefer calling on the flop. What happens when I miss the turn and he bets $300? I don’t get to realize my equity. That was my reasoning. As long as I’ve been playing poker, he was literally the best player I’ve played against, so yeah I wanted to take some shots. There was a hand before that where he called with J3o on 646A lol. I can always reload.
@parkroote590213 күн бұрын
@@k.eyring I prefer not playing the hand for 16x preflop. That way, you're not forced to gamble with a lesser player. I'd pick a different spot. The exception being is if the player is capable of folding to large bets, which you tested him by raising the flop. Obviously, he's calling with top set, but say he had queens on that board, he's calling based on what you're saying? I'm asking. And, i agree that flatting on that flop is definitely the worst option. BTW, that game you were playing was juicy af from what I observed.

@@tyrellwellick5529 different position and action before us. We’re UTG in this hand and 6 handed. In the other hand we’re full table and in the SB facing a raise with other limpers already in the pot. The earlier 67s we could have raised, but I decided to fold. In this hand it’s the bottom of my range and I decided to open. Both are close spots that could technically go either way, and a lot of times in those type of hands the deciding factor is how I feel overall about the table dynamic and my opponents at the time. I never really watched any professional poker content before. I got your 1st video recommended by the almighty algorithm, and gave it a go. I got hooked, and since you don’t have a lot posted on this channel, I searched for other poker creators. You made everyone else unwatchable. Your videos are so much more interesting than what’s out there for a poker dummy like me that I simply can’t watch anyone else.
