Are you ever able to look at it and rather than just work out the notes of the stacked chords (eg b9,13 etc) , you can just say A over G7 shell or Gb over C shell, or is this just cheating,lol? Also I was watching a podcast entitiled "How to get an out or Modern Improv Sound" and for the life of me cannot find it and i never finished watching it. Love your podcasts btw. So helpful . Thanks!

Hi Sarah, Great question! Most certainly you can do that, I do it all the time! That technique of thinking of extensions as stacking chord over chord is referred to as a "polychord". I wrote a blog about this subject on the JPS site that I'd recommend checking out! Thanks for your comment, Bijan

Great lesson but try and talk less dude. You talked for 4 minutes straight at the beginning of the video. DAMN! At least play the finished product before you start talking to entice the audience and boost engagement.
