Thanks so much for this! I started my locs 2 months ago. My loctician didn't even bother to tell me about interlocking. I only found out bc my hair unraveled back to a fro after I washed it... So, I made another appointment and she just washed & comb coiled from scratch ALL OVER AGAIN and sent me on my merry way. Even though I complained that my hair unraveled easily, she still didn't interlock. I was confused🙄🤔 Now that I found you, & know what interlocking entails, I know better. I don't understand why she didn't suggest interlocking from the very beginning. I am so upset b/c now I have these annoying bulbs from the comb coil. I'm sooo pissed. I'm starting to question if she knows what she's doing and if I should start all over again.😡
@EvesNaturals2 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, I’m so sorry that happened to you! You have some stylist who specialize in retwisting and some who specialize in interlocking, it’s hard to find a stylist who specialize in both. She probably didn’t suggest interlocking bc she didn’t know how to do it, but she could have at least referred you to some else who could help you, instead of taking your money and leaving you with the same problem. Yes coils can unravel and be very frustrating to deal with when starting Locs. You might have to start over and get a stylist who knows how to properly interlock, be careful bc there are some stylist who claim they know how to interlock, and don’t. Make sure to check out their work and reviews before booking an appointment. I pray you find someone to help you very soon. I hope this comment helps. Thank you so Much for watching 😊❤️

Yes Definitely! Bc with Interlocking, you can work out, sweat, swim, and do extreme activities and your hair won’t mess up! It will still look fresh bc it can’t unravel. You can also wash it, if you have sweat build up or dandruff and your hair will still look fresh. ❤️

Can you interlock little holes that form from unraveling when you start off with two strand twist? Some of mine started budding but I noticed unraveling in certain places or would you just palm roll them until it’s officially locked?
@EvesNaturals2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Great question 😊I would recommend using the Locking needle with the two headed 0.5mm needles, to permanently Loc them. It’s great for Closing up Holes that form in Locs.
@keturajeanpierre10332 жыл бұрын
Can I interlock medium aize lock? They are not small like yours. I have 84. Are them not going to be too big and create hole when I pass them through
@rishamonet16242 жыл бұрын
I’m going to try this on my daughter once I start their loc journey. But my question is if I’m doing two strand twist how long should I wait to shampoo their hair? One has eczema on the scalp so I try to shampoo her biweekly and I know soon as water hits her hair it’s definitely going to swell what should I do
@EvesNaturals2 жыл бұрын
When starting Locs with two strand twist, I highly recommend interlocking the roots the same day. Interlocking the roots will help for the parts to stay in tack once you start to wash the Locs. Yes two strand twist will unravel once you apply water to the hair too early when starting fresh Locs. But Since you have to shampoo biweekly, I would recommend you use the Locking tool to permanently Loc the ends so that when you shampoo the two strand twist won’t keep unraveling every time. This was a great question, I hope my comment helped. I would definitely like to do a video demonstration on your comment so that you can see what I mean exactly. I think this will help everyone who has this same question.

Can you tell me what color you have in your hair? It's pretty 😍
@EvesNaturals2 жыл бұрын
I lighted my hair using BW2 power with 30 developer. I didn’t apply a color at all. I saturated my Locs with coconut oil before applying, so that my Locs wouldn’t dry out. I left it on for 2mins and once my hair started getting lighter to the color I wanted, then I rinsed it out. I might have to do a video demonstration on how I did it so that everyone can know the proper way to dye Locs. I don’t ever recommend using chemicals, but i would like to show the safest way so that No one causes major damage to their hair.

Ok so I’ve had my locs since December and I’m going to start interlocking myself. How do you get the fly aways to look neat? I have 79 locs so nine are way bigger and I don’t want it to super skinny and then fat on the ends.
@EvesNaturals2 жыл бұрын
Most of the time, I wrap the fly always around the specific Loc it’s connected to. Other times fly always can be stubborn and still stick out, so I Love using my handy maintenance tool called the Locking needle. It has two 0.5mm Needles at the end. And its great for locking in frizz or fly always. Interlocking is a tighter and more firm method, so it will look slightly different but your hair won’t look thin if it’s done properly. I started off with twist and interlocked my roots and people can hardly see the difference in the methods I used. It all will eventually blend in. I will definitely do a video covering this issue for you. I will be uploading a video today of the pros and cons of interlocking and re-twisting, I broke it down in detail. Definitely check it out, it can help out with some of the questions you asked. And I also listed the tools I use in my new video. I hope this comment helps 🥰❤️
