I've said for years that basing inflation numbers on durable goods was idiotic. My kids can't eat a toaster, go see how much milk has gone up. Dave, always interested to see your portfolio progress. I just made a simple spreadsheet of only my monthly div stocks (O, MAIN, GAIN, SCHP, RQT, STAG) and with a current value of just under 154K, am looking at a forward dividend "run rate" of $7958./year. I don't have my cost basis for one of my largest holdings and they are sprinkled in various accounts, mostly tax deferred, some in my Roth. I have quarterly div stocks/ETF's as well.

It's wonderful to have David Rubenstein interviewing all-time greats of the business world, but it's worth remembering that per definition, not all investors can generate above averge returns. The average return being measured by the S&P 500, dividends reinvested - the gold standard for yearly returns. If it'll deliver around 10% per year like in the last century, most investors will fail to generate > 10 % a year.

Gotta remember that this time around the pump we had was not as big as other times. So the drop may not be as bad this time around too. It would make sense as well. That being said, Trading went smooth for me as I was able to raise over 18BTC when I started at 7 BTC in just few weeks implementing trades with signals and insights from Patricia Reo . I would advise y'all to trade your asset rather than hodl for a future you aren't sure about.
