I must say that it's one of the most informative videos about mutual fund for beginners, covering every aspect in such a simplified manner . There is just one correction required - Short term Debt oriented MF is taxable at normal income tax rate (Short term upto 3 years) -Long term Debt Oriented MF is taxable at 20% with Indexation benefit( Long Term beyond 3yrs).

Just a correction, taxation on debt mutual funds is also of 2 types. 1. If you sell within 3 years, the gains are added to your income (as explained in the video) and then you are taxed as per your income tax slab. 2. If you sell after 3 years, the gains are taxed @ 20% with INDEXATION BENEFIT. Kindly make a note of the same. :)

Ankur, love your content and the idea to help people. I'd like to just check once about how the expenses are calculated. "99.9 is deployed to grow" is simplistic and mostly works for a quick explanation. However the actual expenses I believe is charged daily so effectively your expense increases as your NAV increases. Instead of 10 Paisa. You'll actually end up paying much more if your holding value increases (which is what we hope, right). So someone believing that apna kaam to 10 paise mein ho gaya, might be slightly off as their portfolio size increases.

Hi! Thank you so much for putting out these videos. They have been extremely helpful and I don't know why we aren't taught such things at a younger age. I am a freelancer and hence do not have a monthly fixed income. Up until now, I have been able to relate your video on finance to how I handle my finance and investments. Still, being a freelancer, are there any tips or anything that we should keep in mind while investing (considering we don't have a fixed monthly income). It would be great if you could shed some light on this for me and others.
