When the market goes down then it's buying opportunity. If the market goes up then you are making money. If you stay invested and ignore the market's ups and downs, you'll make a lot of money in the long run; however, a severe market correction causes a lot of margin calls and sell-offs, driving the market even lower. currently, I'm up 13% in my diversified portfolio. I'm MUCH more interested in buying stocks now that they are cheap. You can't just sit on cash waiting for the market to drop 10% before you start buying. If u r NRI thn You can open nri trading account with zerodha or any broker that provide NRI trading account....but you can't do intraday trading on equity or currency however you can do on F and O..... P.s - nri trading accounts can be open in person only not online

There is no way we can answer this , it depends on growth of the company , circumstances of the market . For eg, if someone invested 1000 dollars pre pandemic in a company who pay 10 prcnt annual returns but then corona happened so its very diffcult to say. Instead u can choose a company and see its annual growth and can make an estimate on that.
