It was via reading Berkshire's annual letters that I became aware of the stock market's potential. I recently sold my Bel Air flat for $674k, and I plan to use the money I made to buy stocks. I genuinely hope not to loose anything. I'm searching for suggestions on how to make earnings comparable to those that investors who made over $400k in this collapsing market have made.

@@mvanwie The persistent temptation to do things on your own without acknowledging the need for a process is the problem that people always have. It is impossible to skip direction and fundamental information, which is why you can easily become lost in the market noise (consolidation) or ignore some crucial elements that affect how each asset performs. In order to make profits from trading you need loads of experience and a well defined strategy, which most traders don't have. If you trade without the proper preparation, you're most likely to lose your money. Identify the buy/sell ratios and identify the market leaders and most importantly. Diversify! This will help you spread risk which was possible with the help of an investment coach.

The outstanding catch-up measures currently in place are unquestionably due to the Fed, as they were first too sluggish to contain inflation. The epidemic, supply-chain concerns, and the situation in Ukraine are all factors in the looming perfect storm of inflation. Not to mention the sharp increase in housing expenses, another factor that makes it challenging for the Fed to control inflation. To sum up, if you have the cash, get rid of it right away to benefit from the high savings rate.

Essentially it’s a smarter way to gamble. But I really don’t want to think it that way. As my parents always thought me that gambling is bad. If your smart or follow people who are really good at looking stocks. Then what’s to fear? Your making money too! But I don’t work yet or have a credit card. But I do save a lot of money from holidays. I’ll just study for it like always. Then when I work and have a credit card then I’ll buy too. And be rich hehe. For those who are also in my position. After a terrible 2022, shell-shocked financial backers have a lot to think about and losses to recover from. An expansion report and a wealth of other data did little to alter assumptions that the Central bank would likely keep raising interest rates regardless of whether the economy slows down. This implies that portfolios will experience more losses during the first quarter of 2023. I'm currently at a crossroads deciding whether to exchange my $250k security/stock portfolio; how might the continuous market volatility work to my advantage?

I completely agree, The first $100k was the toughest, and I didn't really start seriously investing until I was 30 back in 1998. Today, I'm 55 and have a decent $3.2M nest egg, thanks to the careful supervision of my CFP. After learning all of this, my only regret is not starting earlier when I was 25. It may not seem like much but those extra 5 years are the most important.

Just keep it simple and DCA into your favorite Etfs, and index funds. Especially if you are young. Long term historically it is a winners strategy and 90% of actively managed funds or port folios underperform the s&p. Bear market are a great opportunity to accumulate more at a lower price for net worth gains. I'll keep practicing the High Frequenc y Tradin style and I'm still green so I'll be just fine. just because the overall market is down, doesn't mean every stock is down and vice versa.

@Steve Gonzales I have my funds very well diversified, though I did it using copy trading system from a US chartered financial analyst ''Mary Freed Lorenz'' and it's been a huge relief. Good earnings and little to no engagement at all on my part. Her stock picks are sensational, my aggressive port folio returned approximately 30% in the last quarter with over $285k in gains.
