I get asked constantly how I iron my doll's clothes before displaying them. If you're like me and love a beautifully pressed garment on your dolls, then this tutorial is for you! This is how I press mini clothes with a human-size iron.

Another great video! Love it. I'm definitely going to steal some of these techniques. I usually just use a flatiron (like for hair) on the lowest setting for most of my doll clothing ironing needs. I have a dedicated flatiron for this purpose, so that no hair products are ever at risk of coming in contact with fabrics. I also got the smallest one I could find that had lots of heat settings, so that I could put it on the very lowest setting. I iron nylon tricot and other very heat-vulnerable fabrics with it without a pressing cloth, and I get great results. I also use it to smooth out doll hair on occasion, and bring back some glossy sheen for rather dull hair (I collect mainly 70s dolls, and sometimes they haven't fared so well before they make it to my house). I have found that even some pretty basket-case looking dolls and fashions can be made pretty again with some judicious flatironing.

you're probably going to kill me for this, but when i have a gathered waistband i put it around the very end of the ironing board and pull it up onto the board until the gathers disappear and then I press it. it really works well. it's only stretched for a second.
