I just used sister htv and totally forgot it wasn't cricut htv and I totally burnt my item🤦 I did cricuts heat settings for cotton which is 400 degrees which is probably nearly 100 degrees more than it should've been.. This was a first for me in the 2 years I've been crafting and I'm now terrified to finish the projects I have to do. But this video was SO informative and I thank you for that. You're so knowledgeable and I'm envious of it. I've wasted so much vinyl all bc I simply just don't know or forget. My machine ends up lying dormant for months and months bc I lose interest in it as every project I tackle never goes my way. Like when you weed, that neverrrrr happens so easily for me. I just laugh when I watch you weed with ease AND so quickly! Lol

Loved both projects 😂 I am not a seasoned crafter but I have learned a lot of tips n tricks the last two years from watching your tutorials as well as other talented crafters. I love how you explain each step and share any tips for those oops moments. I use a sticky lint brush when weeding. It sticks to my table so no worries of it rolling away 😊

I love this video. I got away from all my projects for far too long and I'm more of a get all the tools, gadgets, supplies, etc. gal and not get around to making something. I'm glad I at least used my Cricut for one project. That said, I do love this project--I think I'll put that on canvas and hang it in my craft room. Your tip about heating it up briefly before weeding was new to me and I will definitely heed that advice. Thanks for a really great video. I also love the "I can totally make that" project behind you--I guess I'd have to caveat the "when" to all of that, LOL! ONE QUESTION I just remembered: as you mentioned some folks LIKE ME get all excited and buy every color imaginable (I definitely got carried away!). Well, I bought a bunch of beautiful GLITTER Sisal Easyweed. Do you have any tips specifically on the glitter vinyl (HTV)?

Every time I try to use scissor on my cricket and use other HTV in the settings choice it cuts completely through the vinyl and so when I go to pull it up, it leaves the letters behind any tips for that because it is incredibly frustrating. And yes, I did change the settings to less.

I use empty tissue boxes…they have that film that’s split ( that you pull the tissue through) which grabs the weeded vinyl from your weeding tool. It keeps my work area free of little bits and pieces .

Hi Elisabeth! When transporting iron-on transfers that are not yet applied to an item, it is important to keep them protected from heat, moisture, and other potential damage. Here are a few options for packaging and shipping iron-on transfers: Plastic sleeves: Place the iron-on transfers in clear plastic sleeves to protect them from moisture and scratches. Rigid mailers: Use a rigid mailer or a cardboard envelope to protect the iron-on transfers during shipping. This will also keep them flat and prevent creasing. Bubble wrap: wrap the iron-on transfer with bubble wrap before placing it in a mailing envelope or box. This will add extra protection during shipping. Use a heat sealer : If you have a heat sealer you can use it to seal the plastic sleeves, or bags to make sure that the heat transfer vinyls are protected from heat and moisture. It is also important to provide clear and detailed instructions for applying the iron-on transfer, including any specific heating and pressing instructions, to ensure that the customer can successfully apply the transfer to their item at home.
