that mesh is a "thin layer" what if I would like for it to have some thickness. meaning the mesh connects to the thickness of the surface. kind of like a web attaching both faces of the surface.

Thank you so much, sir! Could you make a tutorial of rheotomic surfaces?
@DesignGoBrr3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I'd suggest using kangaroo minimal surfaces for designing rather than Rheotomic surfaces. Will give you much more design "flexibility". Every time you need to use numbers to describe a design - it becomes a super restrictive process which will never hold up in real life applications.
hi , I followed all the steps but somehow untill i connect 0.00900 to isosurface it creates more shapes than the points i see in the screen, how can i fix that?

Thank you for great tutorial. May I suggest you to make a tutorial about building TPMS using the mathematical equation instead of the plug-ins. This program is making a very useful source of model building in pharma industry where the mathematical calculations are necessary (size, SA, Vol). Unfortunately, the plug-ins limit the variability of the design therefore are unfavoured. I was looking for tutorial myself for past year and was not successful.

Quick question: how would I add a grid to this definition? lets say a regular square grid that would follow the mesh. would it be using the regular grid grasshopper component or weave bird. sorry new to this and all.
@DesignGoBrr4 жыл бұрын
Hi there - to guide you in the correct direction - what you're looking for how to create a "quad mesh topology" from a triangulated mesh. Forget about a grid - it's impossible to fit a grid on surfaces like these, because you'll always have "mesh topological singularities" , but it is indeed possible to rebuild this kind of geometry into "cleaner" topology. I'd strongly suggest going through this webinar: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5WkomqGjZieraM , it will help you get a solid footing in grasshopper.

This video is very helpful for me. Thank you for this ! However, the isosurface result I’m getting is an array of surfaces instead of one like yours. Tried to bake and ungroup but when I increase the resolution the system bugs and crashes because of the high number of surfaces.. any advice? Thank you
@DesignGoBrr5 жыл бұрын
In the Isosurface node, do you have "merge" input set to true? This should solve it.
@haddadchristian875 жыл бұрын

@@haddadchristian87 That is strange. Nothing else comes to my mind. Maybe the xyz resolution of the isosurface and the amount of voxel points you have in xyz directions (evaluate box node) dont match up?
@haddadchristian875 жыл бұрын
Gediminas Kirdeikis no everything looks just like yours. Strange indeed.. do you think it has something to do with the plugin itself ? Because every time I open the file it keeps telling me that millipede has expired.

@DesignGoBrr5 жыл бұрын
Hi there, you need to install Millipede addon, which has that particular tool. If you have installed it and it still doesn't pop up, make sure that the all downloaded files are unblocked (right click each file, go to properties, tick-mark "unblock" box)
