Tom, you are the most informative fisherman on any forum of watching. I love how you teach each presentation for each lure. Cadence is everything with a jig and you are basically the only person I have come across that teaches this fact. Thanks for all your videos, they have been very helpful.

Tom, your videos are awesome man! Informative, entertaining and just fun. Some of the best fishing content on YT. I imagine producing these takes a ton of time and work but you make it look easy. Thanks for doing these, extremely helpful! BTW, I think you need to do a video exclusively on Surley (apologies if I spelled that wrong).

Eh bud, I posted a comment couple days ago about opener and stuff and the tips you giving for walters eh, plus what my buddy taught me last year(he does guiding I think). Man all those tips and practice paid off, I had a blast floating around in my shitty 1980's aluminum canoe, ended up catching maybe 23+lbs of eyes in 6 hours on opener. caught limits almost every for 3 days after too. freezer is packed with nice white walter meat. I tried something weird too, I went to the top of the lake where the wind was blowing me almost directly down the bank of the rocky slopes on the lakes where the water had a deep steep drop on the bank, and I had a green light headlamp on my head. I rigged up some 6lb flouro and a 1/8oz jig head(chartruse/green) with a northland smelt cut 3/4 the length. I'd just wait till i floated over a set of shiny eyes and plop the jig right in front of em, It was night so you could see em no problem. lake had good visibility too. I had a 100% success rate for strikes but like maybe a 50-60% hook set success. they would grab it but not swim away or chew it down, very lethargic response, I'd have to wait 3-4 seconds before setting the hook in order to get a good hook up. Not going to lie it was fun as hell catching enough eyes to forget how many you caught, but I felt like I was cheating. Thanks for all the tips man. Much appreciated!

Tom I’m up in Vilas county on a 100’ deep lake and I’ve been getting skunked for 3 weeks now.... Water temps 44 and I’ve been following all your recent spring videos with no luck, I’m at a loss. I know there’s huge bass, wallys and musky here but I just can’t get any luck. Wish you could come fish here and see what your able to do. Not a lot of flats here just deep, any advice is immensely appreciated.

Thanks for all the videos, Tom. My fishing has definitely improved in the last year -- at least for smallies. I can catch those by the hundreds it seems but not so many walleye. Needing to practice is a good excuse for getting out on the water more often! Anyways, I'd be curious to see how your fishing style differs when you're fishing in 20-30mph winds and you can't really get out of them (or do you even bother).

You mentioned on one of your videos the Carbon X 2000, by Piscifun. Is that what you use...understood it was? I ordered one of them and when it arrived, and very quickly( 3 day turn around) it looks much smaller than the reel you are using....just wondering what you actually use. Thanks.

Electronics question. Do you run your electronics from your starting battery? If so what type of starting battery do use? When I run my two Helix 7’s while using trolling motor it eats up my starting battery as I have both units powered by my starting battery. Thanks really enjoy your vids
@warddan2002
@warddan2002 4 жыл бұрын
Sing Sing starting batteries are not intended to be used for trolling motors. Trolling motor batteries are designed to be deep cycle where trolling motors can draw deep into the battery's reserve. Main motor cranking batteries can handle electronics, bilge pumps, aerators in addition to its main purpose which is to crank the mai motor. Hope this is helpful.
