How To Judge The Left And Right Side Of The Car While Driving

In this video, I show you how to judge the left and right side of the car while driving. If you are driving a car, and you are a beginner driver, then this is the video for you because left and right side judgement is one of the hardest things to get the hang of when you are learning to drive. I would recommend that you practice as much as possible, because the more that you practice, the better that you will be at judging the sides of your car.

How do I know where is the "nose" of my car if I cant see it? How do I know how close from an object the car is?

The safest distance of your car from the back of the car you are following is when you can still see its bumber or plate number

When I actually drive I try to stay at a distance where I can still see rear wheels of the car in front of me (there are obviously situations where you might want to be closer, but generally there isnt much reason to be super close in traffic). I sit relatively low in cars too I should add.

I've been having a problem running over misjudged curbs for the last 2 years. It's very frustrating because I can't figure out if something's wrong with me or if it's the different vehicles I've had. I've never had a problem until the last 2 years. I had a 2014 Avenger I got in 2017 and misjudged 3 curbs in parking lots. Got a 2017 Toyota Corolla in May 2020 and have misjudged the curb 3 times since. I can't figure out if it's either, the way I'm sitting in the car, the way the curbs are designed nowadays or if something's wrong with me!

Try and setting your seat a little higher that helps me when I could see over the hood

@@worray yeah I was in a pathfinder so it had a bit of size. My problem I think is that I feel like the vehicles entire width is centered with my field of vision but really you have to be more to the left of the road to be in the middle
